In excellent form at the end of 2019, winning four times at Southwell and hitting the frame here in November. Hasn't won over 5f since 2017 but the testing finish of this track ought to help on that front and she's respected, despite a 5lb rise.
Slipping down the weights throughout last season and hinted a return to form when placed here in October. Ran with credit on his other course appearance too so not ruled out from a lenient handicap mark.
Improved for a switch to AW racing last year and won twice over C&D between September and December. His second to a progressive sort here last time was another promising effort and drop back to 5f should suit.
Lost her maiden tag at the 34th attempt when winning at Southwell in February but quickly added to her tally with two more wins at that venue (all at 6f). Well beaten when tried at 5f in that spell but worth another crack at the trip.
Got off the mark at the second attempt when winning at Windsor in August but didn't take to the unique demands of Southwell when last of six in her follow up bid. That was a low grade affair and likely in need of improvement on handicap bow.
Hasn't won since a 7f success at Kempton in 2018 but showed some promise on debut for this yard back in February. Didn't build on that run when last seen and perhaps best watched on his first start over the minimum trip.
Losing run goes back more than two years and has looked better suited to turf than AW on evidence so far. Clipped heels and fell here last time and has enough questions to answer for now, despite a handy mark.
Just about a career best when winning at Redcar in September but couldn't improve on that run in four AW attempts at the start of the winter. Dropped 2lb and others make more appeal in a race this competitive.
Consistent throughout last season and rewarded with a couple of sprint handicaps on turf. Needs to improve if she is to defy this mark though and previous AW attempt wasn't particularly inspiring when trained in Ireland.
C&D winner who has recorded his other five wins at Southwell. Recorded a good time for the grade when winning at Southwell in February but failed to back that up over 6f last time. C&D form reads 5133 so ought to be in with an each-way shout.
Off the mark at the 11th attempt when winning at Chelmsford in March but drop back in trip not certain to be in his favour and a 5lb rise in the weights could leave him vulnerable.
Has found some form since joining this yard and made it back-to-back wins at Musselburgh in October. Soft/heavy ground coincided with that turnaround in form so not certain to appreciate a switch back to AW.
Forecasts
Be Proud (11/4), Indian Sounds (11/2), Fox Hill (8/1), Excessable (17/2), Queen Of Kalahari (10/1), Requinto Dawn (11/1), Bhangra (12/1), Gorgeous General (14/1), Tomshalfbrother (16/1), Hard Solution (20/1), Puchita (28/1), Quanah (33/1)
Another race in which plenty of the field have solid claims but it's worth noting how well-handicapped EXCESSABLE could be having given a strong hint a return to form was on the cards here last time out. Course and distance winner Gorgeous General is an all-weather specialist who has solid each-way claims. The drop back to the minimum trip could be in favour of Be Proud who goes well at this venue and should be in the mix.
