Off the mark at the second time of asking at Clonmel in December. Well held in three starts since including on handicap debut at Leopardstown last month. Entitled to make the shortlist.
Quickly turned out once more following a 2¼L victory in a Navan 2m1f handicap chase. Life more difficult from a revised mark but more likely to run his race than others.
Five-race maiden who has finished in the frame in four of those starts. Likely to go well from initial mark on handicap debut.
Has shown very little in a number of starts for new connections since joining from France. Others look more convincing at this level.
Winner over this trip in her hurdling starts but yet to hit the frame in four starts over the larger obstacles since her debut in July last year. Looks opposable on handicap debut.
Flattered to deceive in nine-race hurdles career for Neil Mulholland in Britain, winning one of his nine starts. Well held over the larger obstacles since October and hard to fancy on handicap chase debut.
Nine-race maiden. Never a factor in a couple of early starts over fences in September/October last year. Fifth of nine beaten 15L on return to action on handicap chase debut at Gowran Park last month.
Forecasts
Conright Boy (9/4), Shakeytry (11/4), Arverne (4/1), Weihnachts (15/2), Shimmer And Shine (8/1), Niccolai (11/1), Duke Of Kilcorral (20/1)
The quickly turned out CONRIGHT BOY can win again. The 11-year-old won well from the front on heavy ground on Saturday beating Spare Brakes (runs in the 4.25) 2¼L, well in command in the closing stages. The gelding can hold off the attentions of the Edward O'Grady-trained Shakeytry who has posted a number of solid and consistent efforts since the turn of the year. Course winner, Niccolai and the J P McManus-owned Weihnachts both appear capable of hitting the frame.
- Conright Boy
- Shakeytry
- Niccolai
