His two career victories were separated by a 20-race losing spell during which he ran some honest races in defeat. Does not always enjoy the best of luck in running but there is still some value in his current mark should he find the gaps.
More than capable off this mark and his last success was on the Tapeta at Newcastle (1m). May need the run and he is often well-supported ahead of his best efforts.
Sole win in 21 outings came on Polytrack although he does produce his best for Rossa Ryan. Has gone well when fresh in the past and an interesting runner visored for the first time.
23-race maiden who has gone close on her last two starts under contrasting tactical rides. Had the run of the race last time and no surprise to see Janus confirm the form..
Four-time C&D winner who drops back in trip after running over 1m5f last time. Just 1lb higher than her last victory here in December and no surprise to see this consistent mare bang there at the finish.
Got up late to deny Highway One when the pace would not have helped him. Backed that up with a good run last time in another muddling race and hard to rule out if proving as effective on Tapeta.
Now on his seventh trainer and having his first run following a wind op. Picked up back to back races last April but his last few starts do not indicate he is close to that form.
Just the one win in 34 starts and he seems to reserve his best for Chelmsford. Goes well for this rider and rarely far away, but new mark may have taken this beyond his reach.
Reserves his best for this venue but out of form currently and plenty to find with Thawry judged on his latest showing.

Forecasts
Janus (2/1), Highway One (7/2), Equidae (5/1), Taurean Dancer (11/2), Thawry (6/1), Sunshineandbubbles (13/2), Beverley Bullet (14/1), Nicky Baby (16/1), Final Attack (22/1), False Id (22/1)
Beverley Bullet figures on a nice mark should the market speak in his favour but SUNSHINEANDBUBBLES has fitness on her side and is now just 1lb higher than when successful here in December. Janus is in good form at present and should confirm recent placings with Highway One. Thawry needs to be ridden with fingers crossed for luck in running, but Taurean Dancer is not without a chance on form and a record that shows he can go well fresh.
- Sunshineandbubbles
- Taurean Dancer
