Fair bumper form and has produced two steady if unspectacular displays over hurdles to date; best effort came when dropped in trip last time and capable of progressing again.
French import who makes his second run over hurdles having run in three 1m4f bumpers scoring on the most recent of them in April 2019; hurdles debut at Sedgefield was very disappointing; more expected but much more needed.
Fit from a recent run at Lingfield on the AW; showed enough on both his hurdles starts at Cheltenham and Worcester to suggest he would be capale of landing his maiden; looks the form pick in this contest.
Generally consistent on the Flat and won his fair share of races winning four times from 25 starts; difficult to assess on hurdles debut with inexperienced rider booked; can be well backed when expected to run well.
Well beaten on only outing in a bumper but did show siome promise on hurdles debut at Huntingdon last month; entitled to improve and can go well.
Tailed off last of 12 at Fontwell in her only bumper in October and unseated rider at the first on hurdles debut in January; hard to see her making an impression.
Of little note on the Flat, failing to win races up to 7f as recently as January; hard to make a case for on hurdles debut though has been well backed in the past so market check advised.
Has been making steady progress over hurdles with her best performance coming last time out at Doncaster when 2nd of 9 in a novice hurdle on good-soft; should improve again: leading chance.
Forecasts
Sorbet (5/4), Medalla De Oro (2/1), Eros (11/2), Kingfast (6/1), Fingal D'Arthel (14/1), Monarchofthegrange (16/1), Miaella (50/1), Maid Of Camelot (150/1)
Although it has been a while since KINGFAST has seen a hurdle, he is fit from a recent outing on the Flat and appears to have some of the best form in the race based on his effort at Cheltenham in October against some useful rivals. If able to reproduce that here then he may take all the beating. Eros enjoyed the step back in trip last time at Huntingdon and if he can show that level of form again he should go well. Sorbet has plenty of experience over hurdles and has a fair amount of ability to boot. She can take advantage if any of the market leaders fail to flourish.
- Kingfast
- Eros
- Sorbet
