100/1
Motivator filly who showed very little in two runs in France and hasn't shown much in a bumper and a maiden hurdle so far for current yard. May need more time and do better once handicapping.

Champagne Terri168
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-12| J: L P Dempsey| T: A Keatley
2/1
Dual Flat handicap winner last summer at up to 1m3f and improved on hurdles bow when third on unsuitably heavy ground at Perth in September. Not seen since but may be in the mix if ready to roll on return to the fray.

Cherry Cola201
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-12| J: M Goldstein| T: Miss S West
16/1
Rattled off 1m3f hat-trick on Flat this summer and has been rested since finsihing third at Windsor in August. Yard does well with limited ammunition and could be a player if taking to timber. Well worth a market check.

Fayettab22
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-12| J: K J Brouder(3)| T: D Loughnane
20/1
Runner-up in 1m4f Wolverhampton AW handicap in December but didn't show much at all on hurdles bow in soft ground at Ludlow folllowing month. May have more to offer on better surface here but others make more appeal.

Gilka36
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-12| J: Conor Shoemark| T: D Skelton
6/1
Landed French bumper in November prior to joining current yard and made satisfactory hurdles bow when tiring late on to finish third at Ludlow last month. Should have learned plenty and expected to be bang there this time around.

Operatic Exporth36
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-12| J: B S Hughes| T: Dr R D P Newland| OR:  117
3/1
Ex-Irish middle-distance handicapper who improved on first two runs for current yard when second, just ahead of Gilka at Ludlow last time. Stayed on well there and more galloping track may suit so appears to have solid claims.

Age: 4|  Weight: 10-12| J: Kielan Woods| T: Alexandra Dunn
100/1
Won Newcastle 1m4f AW handicap off 68 last summer and third there off 4lb hgher in September. Doesn't appear to have taken to hurdling, pulling up on debut then last of three, hanging throughout on most recent outing.
9
Horse silk
Tronada36
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-12| J: Alexander Thorne(5)| T: A King| OR:  115
5/2
Sixth but close behind Operatic Export and Gilka at Ludlow recently having been solid fourth of 15 at Warwick on hurdles bow. Should be right there again with conditional claiming valuable 5lb.

Forecasts

Champagne Terri (2/1), Tronada (5/2), Operatic Export (3/1), Gilka (6/1), Cherry Cola (16/1), Fayetta (20/1), Invincible Sea (66/1), Caballine (100/1), Soloist (100/1)

Verdict

The Ludlow race in which Operatic Export was second, Gilka was third and Tronada was a close sixth suggests there may be little between the trio once again. Gilka is marginally preferred but a chance is taken that CHAMPAGNE TERRI is wound up for her return to action having shown promise on her only hurdles run in late-summer. Cherry Cola landed a hattrick on the Flat last summer and is an interesting hurdles recruit well worth noting for any market interest.
  1. Champagne Terri
