Goes well at this venue and earned his only win here (1m3f); generally consistent but can put in the odd stinker; difficult to rule out but others more likely for win purposes.
Southwell regular; seeking a hat-trick after posting two impressive victories at this track; has scooted up the handicap as a consequence but difficult to see him not getting competitive once again.
Has been fairly consistent of late without ever looking like winning; combination of headgear tried for the first time here as he tries a new trip for the first time; possibly best watched.
Heavily supported when winning last time at Chelmsford despite having no right to win based on all known form; this might be tough on handicap debut but will be full of confidence and there may be more to come.
Has just a solitary turf win to his name for Tom Tate (over 1m2f, on good to firm ground) but soon lost his way. Three starts for Mark Loughnane were poor efforts and it's been much the same since he joined his current yard. Hard to recommend.
Career best effort came at Carlisle last May; only raced once subsequently and this looks a tough ask on only second start at Southwell after such a long break.
Beaten by double digit distances in his last six starts; can put in the occasional reasonable effort but difficult to see where the improvement will come from to be involved here.
Yet to be placed in eight attempts on the Flat to date; it would be a surprise if he can feature from so far out of the handicap given a poor seasonal reappearance run over course and distance last week.

Going Native (6/4), Aleatoric (5/2), Sociologist (9/2), Decoration Of War (6/1), Pageant Master (18/1), Onda District (25/1), Foxes Flyer (25/1), Showshutai (33/1), Glacier Fox (100/1)
GOING NATIVE looks the call here having streaked away with two victories in her last two races, first over 1m3f and last time over this trip. She has more weight to carry but that might stop her winning given the quality of opposition. The win of Aleatoric raised a few eyebrows given his previous form and if well supported again that would be sign connections think he has got in here on a fair handicap mark. Sociologist is very consistent and it would be a surprise to see him finish out of the money.
