Won Fontwell 2m3f h'cap hurdle off 6lb lower in November and hasn't run at all badly last two runs off slightly higher mark than he carries here. Local yard and rider do well here in these events so has to be respected.
Won twice for this yard last summer prior to four runs on Flat in France for Frank Sheridan. Eased 4lb after two moderate efforts this winter but now 1lb lower than last success so a better display is not out of the question.
Won Tramore 2m maiden hurdle back in 2017 but has shown very little in five starts for current yard since crossing the Irish Sea back in 2018. Pulled hard before weakening quickly and pulled up last time at Exeter in January.
Winning pointer who has shown ability at around this level on all starts so far under Rules. First run over hurdles when good second in handicap here last time after 203-day break and has decent chance off 2lb lower mark. One for the short list.
22-race maiden but has been placed 11 times, which rather tells its own story. Runner-up last two starts, both in handicap chases, and reverts to timber for first time since February 2018 when raced off 12lb higher. First-time visor applied.
11 races without success and hasn't really taken to fences this season in four moderate performances. Not beaten far over C&D over hurdles in October when finished fast into fourth off 17lb higher mark. Clear chance on that effort but inconsistent.
Stable companion of Kenny George whose two wins have come at around 2m4f. Pushed along in touch when fell 3 out here last month. Feasibly handicapped on pick of old form but does have a bit to prove.
Only place in eight starts came over C&D last March when a close third on better ground off 5lb higher mark. Pulled up both starts of late and appears to be struggling at present.
Six-time winner but has really lost his way since scoring at Taunton in April 2018. Pulled up four of last eight starts and was well beaten latest on first start since wind surgery. Hard to fancy from 3lb out of the handicap.
Forecasts
Legal Ok (5/4), Champion Chase (7/2), Kenny George (11/2), O'Rahilly (12/1), Penneys Hun (12/1), Riviere Argentee (14/1), Royal Concorde (14/1), Sixties Idol (16/1), Karl Marx (33/1)
LEGAL OK is fancied to get off the mark over hurdles after a rock solid run over C&D last time when a close second. Off 2lb lower he appears to have an obvious chance. Kenny George may give the selection most to do and is handicapped to go well, while Riviere Argentee has fallen to a reasonable mark and could well imrpove on her most recent efforts. Sixties Idol wasn't quite done with when falling 3 out here last time, and the frustrating Champion Chase is more than likely to again be on the premises although a victory might be stretching the point.
- Legal Ok
- Kenny George
- Champion Chase
