Yard doing well with limited bumper runners (3-10 previous 12 months) and this son of Arvico made a winning start at Wincanton (12-1) in January. More demanded under the penalty.

4/6
Shirocco gelding won a heavy-ground Newbury bumper on debut (second won since) and looks a promising sort for the resurgent Ben Pauling yard; key player under the penalty.
€22,000 3yo; third foal; dam well beaten in a point, sister to bumper/2m4f and 2m6f hurdle winner Merrydown out of half-sister to 2m5f hurdle/2m7f chase winner Cracking Dawn and 2m4f-2m5f hurdle/chase winner Castle Coin.
A £105,000 point-to-point winner who showed plenty in Exeter bumper on New Year's Day in finishing third; should improve for that run.

Passing Glance gelding showed some ability before weakening into fifth on debut at Bangor last month. This looks considerably stronger so unlikely to better that finishing position.

66/1
Gelded son of Arctic Cosmos purchased for €5,500 as a three-year-old. No better than sixth in a bumper at Chepstow on debut 3 months ago and more demanded to improve on that position.
7
Horse silk
50/1
Sixth of eight on debut at Sandown and again looks best watched for good yard but one not renowned for bumper success lately.
8
Horse silk
50/1
Newcomer out of a French Flat and British hurdle/chase winner represents connections whose bumper winners are generally best watched.

Western Starlet66

14/1
Westerner gelding second beaten 16L by useful looking Olly Murphy-trained runner (Listed placed since) when favourite on debut at Ayr in January. Ought to be competitive here and jockey booking speaks volumes.

€28,000 2yo; first foal; dam unraced half-sister to French 2n2f Listed winner Ardina (by Doctor Dino) out of 1m1f/1m2½f winner. Tough starting place seemingly.

Schiaparelli newcomer out of a well related 2m4f hurdle winner one to watch for future ventures today. Trainer also runs once-raced Glance From Clover.
Fame And Glory gelding. Brother to fairly useful hurdler Carys' Commodity. Dam unraced half-sister to useful hurdler/chaser (2m-2½m winner) The Jigsaw Man. Trainer has his share of bumper success.

A £22,000 Noroit gelding. Half-brother to French 1m2f-1m4½f winner Dandy River. Dam, once raced on Flat, out of hurdles/chase winner in France. Trainer in fine form (3-8 lately) but just 1-19 with bumper runners previous 12 months.

100/1
Sholokhov gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to very smart hurdler/fairly useful chaser (2m1f-2m6f winner) Oscar Dan Dan. Market should be revealing on debut appearance.

Forecasts

Your Darling (4/6), Bobhopeornohope (4/1), Runswick Bay (8/1), Guard Your Dreams (11/1), Western Starlet (14/1), Delgany Delta (20/1), Bear Ghylls (33/1), Guillemot (33/1), Glance From Clover (33/1), Sopran Thor (50/1), Doctor Zen (50/1), Universal Mission (50/1), Hardy Articos (66/1), Giovanni Royale (100/1), The Bolshoi Bandit (100/1)

Verdict

YOUR DARLING can defy a winners' penalty here to make it 2-2 in this sphere after scoring nicely at Newbury on debut. He looked strong in the finish and the well-regarded Nicky Henderson-trained runner-up has won since; ensuring the form is solid. Fellow winner Runswick Bay is also respected but may have to settle for minor money. Western Starlet was second on debut at Ayr and should improve for it while Guard Your Dreams and Delgany Delta are interesting newcomers.
