Multiple winner, including over C&D last May when just 1lb higher. Has been back to better form on his last two starts, and wasn't beaten far here from this mark last time out. Player.
Dual C&D winner, the more recent coming in January when 3lb lower. Well held over both 5f and 6f here on his last two runs, however, so needs to bounce right back to have any chance.
Sole AW win came at Kempton, (7f, Polytrack) last spring, when with Richard Hannon. Had wind surgery after his first run for this trainer. Disappointed next time, but better run in a seller latest. Whether he has the speed for 5f remains to be seen.
Multiple sprint winner who has a C&D win to his name. Also scored on his final start for Eric Alston when last seen at Nottingham in November. Has won/run well when fresh, so could be a big player up just 2lb for stable debut.
Hasn't yet much on turf, but scored at the first time of asking on AW, at Lingfield (5f, Polytrack) in December, when 4lb lower. Handles this track (ran well when 1lb higher on penultimate start). Forgiven latest effort and should be thereabouts.
Tapeta winner at Newcastle (7f) this time last year, when 11lb lower. Also scored at Yarmouth in the summer (5f, good to firm), when 3lb lower. Not yet fully exposed, has run well fresh, and could go close on reappearance.
Goes well here and scored over C&D last month, when 6lb lower, in a 0-55. Has run well on both starts since, so not written off, but more needed given this step up in grade.
Forecasts
Big Time Maybe (9/4), Final Legacy (3/1), George Thomas (9/2), Simba Samba (11/2), Global Melody (6/1), Balata Bay (18/1), Lydiate Lady (33/1)
Potentially competitive, with Big Time Maybe, Global Melody and Lydiate Lady all of interest. However, SIMBA SAMBA dropped back to win over this trip last some and looks perhaps to have more room a improvement than most on his reappearance.
