Very well-handicapped on peak form (has done the bulk of her winning at Kempton, 6f-7f); beaten favourite, no match for the decisive winner Waitaki in a Cl 5 fillies' handicap there 23 days ago; merits respect.
Scored at odds of 25-1 on debut for Charles Hills at Newmarket (7f, soft) in mid 2018; hasn't made the frame since, finishing a weakening last of six on Fibresand at Southwell (7f) latest; wide draw; safer to look elsewhere.
Just 1lb higher than when edging out Billyfairplay and Angel Palanas in a three-way tussle over C&D in January; essentially was a disappointment at Kempton (7f) on his most recent start.
Nine-race maiden; left Kevin Ryan for £6,000 (Aug 2019); raced keenly and always in the hunt when involved in a blanket finish (fourth) at Newcastle (6f) three weeks ago; a positive showing for Olivia R (6.00pm) would raise confidence.
Ex-Charlie Fellowes (regressive for that trainer); has eased a further 2lb in the weights since joining Rebecca Menzies and hasn't masses to find with Swinging Eddie on Newcastle form; cheekpieces are a noteworthy addition.
Veteran of 81 races (11 wins, 9-44 on the AW); represents an in-form trainer and has the assistance of AW champion jockey elect Ben Curtis in the saddle; was nailed on the line by Caribbean Spring at Chelmsford (1m) on his penultimate start.
All three AW wins (6f-7f) have come on the Polytrack at Chelmsford, including when edging out Valley Belle by ½L early in the New Year; handily drawn and has some C&D form on his CV which would give him a chance; market helpful.
Won twice for David Loughnane during April 2019 (here and at Leicester); more miss than hit in five starts for the Sedgefield handler Fred Watson; difficult to fancy, even more so now dropping back in trip.
C&D winner who always tends to run his race at this track (4231); was beaten a head by Puchita (has won since) at Southwell on his penultimate start; there or thereabouts (fifth) at Newcastle since; rates as a key player despite a 2lb rise.
Hasn't won anywhere since May 2019 (then with John Flint) but does generally run to form around Wolverhampton; 3lb lower than when finishing 2½L third to Come On Bear over C&D last month; Luke Morris is an eye-catching jockey booking.
Broke her duck (13th attempt) when accounting for a trio of Lisa Williamson-trained runners in a Chester novice (7½f, good to firm) last June; handles Wolverhampton (0-6) but seldom seen in competitive action since.
His sole AW win (from 27 starts) came when scoring at odds of 50-1 over 7f at Newcastle in mid-December; showed early pace until weakening into seventh place (race won by Star Cracker) over 6f there five weeks ago; others preferred.
Forecasts
Watheer (2/1), Swinging Eddie (7/1), Kodiline (15/2), Chetan (8/1), Chloellie (9/1), Air Of York (11/1), Red Bravo (12/1), Scorched Breath (14/1), Brigand (14/1), Symphony (25/1), False Id (40/1), Dodgy Bob (40/1)
Arguably a shade more competitive than Division 1 which takes place half an hour earlier (at 6pm). Traditionally, Roger Fell's Watheer runs this track very well and he continues to inch up the weights following a consistent spell of form, while Luke Morris is an eye-catching jockey booking on another Wolverhampton regular Air Of York. Furthermore, it could reap dividends to take stock of any positive market move for either Chetan (Tony Carroll) or Brigand (John Butler). However, despite acknowledging her strengths lie on Polytrack (as opposed to Tapeta) the eased-in-grade CHLOELLIE is too dangerously handicapped to ignore.
- Chloellie
- Watheer
- Air Of York
