Improving with every start and made it back to back wins at Lingfield last time out; has a fair bit to find on these terms though.

Impressive when winning a novice event at Ffos Las and has shown a good level of form in two subsequent thirds in small runner fields in Listed company; step back up in trip sure to suit and sets the standard here.

Unbeaten in three starts in France including a Listed success last time out; won with a bit more in hand than the winning margin suggested that day and he's a fascinating contender on UK debut here.

Runner-up in a fair looking Southwell maiden on debut but has a huge step up on that form to find to mix it with these.

Not seen to best effort when last seen in Group 1 company at Newcastle, doing too much too soon; has a fair bit to find on form but he's a fascinating contender and top Irish yard don't have many runners at this venue.

Forecasts

Chares (7/4), Berlin Tango (15/8), New World Tapestry (11/4), Ayr Harbour (12/1), Naval Commander (33/1)

Verdict

CHARES won with a fair amount in hand in Listed company in France last time and he may be capable of maintaining his unbeaten record with more progress possible here. New World Tapestry is an interesting contender on his return to action and he wasn't seen to best effect last time out at Newcastle. Berlin Tango has shown he can mix it in Listed company and Andrew Balding's colt completes the shortlist.
  1. Chares
  2. New World Tapestry
  3. Berlin Tango
