Making her first start in nearly two years when finishing 77L last of four on stable debut in a novice chase over an extended 2m3f at Wetherby (soft) in January. Others make more appeal on return to hurdling.
C&D winner was victorious in a good ground handicap over 2m2f at Kelso in September. Held in three subsequent starts however including on soft ground over an extended 2m at Bangor last month. Top jockey in the saddle for a useful stable.
Weakened in the closing stages when 21L eighth in a handicap hurdle over an extended 2m at Doncaster just under a month ago but finished well held in a jumpers' bumper subsequently. Interesting in first time cheekpieces.
Well held 13th in a first time visor (absent here) in a handicap over 2m at Lingfield in January. Changed stables since and is worth a check in the market back over hurdles with a tongue tie tried for the first time.
Dual Flat winner in 2018 including on soft ground at Hamilton (1m1f) but finished well beaten behind subsequent winner Roxyfet in a 2m1f handicap hurdle at Sedgefield (soft) in January on his most recent outing.
Handicap mark is falling following some moderate efforts this campaign including when beaten 30L into eighth in a similar race to this at Fakenham (2m, soft) last month. Well handicapped on his old form but others hold more obvious claims.
Selling handicap hurdle winner at Plumpton (2m, soft) in November and has run well on three of his five subsequent starts including when third in a similar race at Fakenham (2m, soft) last month. Likely to play a leading role once more.
15 race maiden under all codes but ran a fair race when 4L sixth in a handicap over an extended 2m on the AW at Newcastle last time out. Probably best watched racing from out of the handicap on his first start over jumps since August.
Forecasts
Flanagans Field (9/5), Tim Rocco (7/2), Ska Ridge (5/1), The Herds Garden (8/1), Dahills Hill (9/1), Global Thrill (10/1), Pepper Street (12/1), Highwayman (16/1)
FLANAGANS FIELD was a winner at this level ealrier in the campaign and he can register a victory by taking this opening race. The selection has been running well in defeat of late and he can see off his rivals here with The Herds Garden capable of claiming second with a leading jockey in the saddle with Tim Rocco capable of finishing third with cheekpieces and tried for the first time.
