Not seen in action on the Flat since September 2017 and was well beaten in two starts over hurdles when returned to racing in January. Had a wind operation since but too much to be taken on trust for a recommendation.
Acts on this track and has been given a chance from 3lb lower than last month's poor effort over C&D. (He's won over hurdles in recent times but was last successful on the Flat back in March 2018.) Has a chance only on the very pick of his form.
Lacks consistency of late and best AW form posted on different surfaces; ran well when second at Kempton in January and would be dangerous if able to reproduce something akin to that level now tried on Fibresand for the first time.
Picks up a 5lb penalty for a 5½l win over an extended 1m3f here eight days ago but this in truth doesn't look a much tougher assignment. The fitting of blinkers has worked well and she can put her vast Southwell experience to good use again.
Had three relatively quick starts since joining his current yard and has shown he retains some ability. Races from 2lb below his last winning mark on turf but needs to prove he can handle Fibresand. Betting can guide.
Slightly surprising winner over 1m here in January but well held over that trip trip twice since. Plenty to prove now upped in distance again.
Form in the book is very modest and the mare has achieved little since debuting for her current stable in January. The ex-John Gosden inmate has an awful lot to prove and not even a career lowest mark is tempting enough to merit much faith.
1-16 on the AW (3-49 on turf) and easy to oppose after a string of modest displays over hurdles over the winter. Would be a surprise if he's good enough to bounce back now switching codes again. (Out of the handicap.)
Was pulled up on his hurdles debut in January and plenty to prove now reverting to the Flat from so far out of the handicap. Others readily preferred.

There was a lot to like about the manner in which GOING NATIVE won over 1m3f here last time out and her consistency over this sort of trip is a major bonus in a race that lacks strength-in-depth. The 5lb penalty is a slight concern and gives Howardian Hills hope of going close on these terms. However, his lack of Fibresand experience does have to be a concern. Warrior's Spirit has won from a higher mark on turf and is not out of his depth in this company, he along with Cape Hideaway are tentatively forwarded as the best of the modest bunch that make up the rest of the field. (Four of the ten intended runners are out of the handicap on this occasion.)
- Going Native
- Warrior's Spirit
