Was in winning form over hurdles in the summer up to 2m4f but form tailed off in the autumn; interesting recruit to fences but may just need this run having been off the track since September.
Hints of a return to decent form finishing third of 15 beaten 6¼L in a Punchestown 2m hurdle contest on handicap debut in January; fair chance on chasing debut if still in good heart.
Ten-race maiden over the larger obstacles though has run well in defeat on a number of occasions; needs to bounce back from below par effort last time but overall experience should hold him in good stead; cheekpieces tried for the first time.
Debut bumper win in 2017 remains his sole success; has generally struggled over hurdles since and hard to see him being good enough on chase debut.
Has been slow to come to hand over fences but did run his best race to date last time out at Cork; would still need to improve plenty to be capable of landing this contest however.
Has bits and pieces of hurdle form but needs to improve his jumping based on his chase debut at Cork; should do better in time but unlikely to be good enough at present.
Showed a degree of promise on hurdles debut at Tramore in December but failed to build on that on two subsequent runs and this looks a tough ask on his chase debut.
Son of Authorized is 0-20 over fences in his career but that hardly tells the full story, has often run with promise since last summer; lack of a win is a huge worry but definite each-way claims in this line-up.
Has shown very little in the way of talent in seven racecourse appearances and this looks extremely tough returning from such a long absence.
Looks to have some of the best chase form in the line up having finished runner-up on his last two appearances; can improve again and looks one of the more likely winners in this contest.
94-rated handicap hurdler who has shown very little on three chase starts to date; obviously open to improvement and difficult to write out of calculations entirely.
Was showing improved form over hurdles before being sent chasing last time out at Fairyhouse; was detached for long periods in that race and while he can improve, he does not look the most solid contestant on that evidence.
Appeared to be on the right track when running well at Naas four starts ago but that effort seems a flash in the pan considering her last three below par efforts; difficult to recommend but does have ability.
Fair hurdler on her day; finished a remote third on her chasing debut at Limerick in December; should be able to build on that and may have place possibilities once again.
Modest handicap hurdler who has been mixing it up chasing recently to no effect, including heavy defeat here (2m6f) on penultimate start; has it all to do on paper and makes limited appeal.
Hard to recommend on chase debut considering her generally poor level of ability in maiden hurdles; best watched.
Forecasts
Shakeytry (9/4), First Class Return (9/2), Stucker Hill (9/2), Chief Of Police (9/1), Empire Burleque (10/1), My Manekineko (12/1), Sunrise Lady (12/1), In Your Shadow (20/1), Dasmyhoss (20/1), Memory Tree (25/1), Celtic Dancer (25/1), Peterstown (33/1), Pacte In The Park (33/1), Whydah (33/1), Lord Lariat (50/1), I'll Be That Lady (100/1)
SHAKEYTRY has the best form of those with chase experience and he can land a deserved first success over fences here. While he never looked like winning on either of his last two starts, he finished in second place on bother occasions and unless he meets a very decent rival making their chase debut then he should be able to master his rivals. Things will click for Whydah at some point and while it hard to recommend him based on racecourse form, he is certainly capable of winning races. Dasmyhoss has plenty of experience and perhaps that and first-time cheekpieces will see him produce an improved performance.

- Whydah
