Won a novice race at Chelmsford (1m) and ran well in both handicaps since, including over this trip. Out of his depth last time but this more suitable and his sire's progeny do well on this surface. Interesting contender.

Dual course winner (7f/1m) last month but not in the same form here last time when fourth, beaten 9¾L. That was his fourth run in four weeks so may benefit from a 30-day break and is 3lb above his last winning mark.

Triple heavy ground turf winner for Richard Spencer in 2019. Sold to these connections for 17,000 gns in October and makes his stable debut. First run on Fibresand and is best watched unless the market suggests otherwise.

Won a claimer in August at Wolverhampton (6f) but has ran one decent race since then. Well beaten last time in a seller at Wolverhampton and, despite a dropping handicap mark, there are others in better form.

Returned to form when winning at Kempton (7f) in good style last time. Isn't the most consistent and has never won two races in a row. Also is 0/3 here on the Fibresand and others preferred.

6f Listed winner as a juvenile whose rating peaked at 101. Plummeted in the weights with previous yards but only beaten on short head two starts ago at Newcastle (6f). Disappointed there last time but still well handicapped if handling the surface.

Forecasts

Extrodinair (11/10), Forseti (3/1), Ubla (5/1), De Bruyne Horse (11/2), Stallone (14/1), Mujassam (25/1)

Verdict

If you ignore being outclassed in a Listed race last time, EXTRODINAIR has steadily improved with racing and is the selection after going close at Chelmsford off just 1lb lower two runs back. His sire also does well on the Fibresand. Forseti won well twice here last month and should benefit from a little break after a busy period whilst De Bruyne Horse is still extremely well handicapped on some of his old form on Fibresand debut.
  1. Extrodinair
  2. Forseti
  3. De Bruyne Horse
