A €115,000 thee-year-old, Flemensfirth gelding, he's a brother to three winners, including the smart hurdler/very smart chaser Noble Endeavor. Worth noting on debut.
Showed a glimmer of ability in novice hurdle last summer but hasn't progressed and 42L off the pace in 2m5f maiden here last month on debut for this trainer after a layoff.
Sold for £190,000 after finishing second in a point-to-point in November 2018, changed hands for £50,000 since. Ran into a previous winner when clear in second on debut at Leicester 21 days ago and fairly obvious claims now upped to 3m.
Off the mark at the second attempt in bumpers when winning over 2m at Chepstow (good) in the spring; runner-up last month at Wincanton (2m5½f, soft) and third scored at Ascot on Saturday. Good prospect.
Dual point-to-point winner in 2018 but missed the whole of last season and was beaten 28L when fifth of seven over 3m at Musselburgh (good-to-soft) on Rules debut at the start of last month. Stiff task.
Irish point-to-point winner offered something to work on when seventh at this course a fortnight ago on debut, likely can build on that effort now without troubling the judge.
Forecasts
Southfield Harvest (11/8), Muckamore (11/8), Fedelta (7/2), Toby Maguire (25/1), Dream De Dream (50/1), Master Sam Bellamy (66/1), Bonanza Sam (150/1)
Both Southfield Harvest and MUCKAMORE finished second on their respective hurdling debuts at Wincanton and Leicester last month. Nigel Twiston-Davies' charge ran into a potentially smart rival in Imperial Alcazar and this former point-to-point winner should excel upped in distance, ensuring he takes the vote. Paul Nicholls will expect more too from Southfield Harvest, who had the form of his run boosted at the weekend. Debutant Fedelta should have a future.
