Did well for Mick Appleby, including winning the Scottish Sprint Cup at Musselburgh last spring. Also scored over C&D when last seen in October for that trainer. Up 4lb, but again looks likely to be a contender.
Triple turf winner who is 2-5 on AW, both wins over 5f at Chelmsford. Went very close from today's mark at that venue in September. Well held on turf twice since, so has a bit to prove, including his ability to act on this surface.
6f maiden winner on turf in July 2018, for Aidan O'Brien. Couldn't make a major impact in four starts for Damian Joseph English. Since gelded, but probably one to watch on stable/Fibresand debut.
Dual course winner over 6f/5f, the latter a decisive success in a 0-80 handicap. Reported to have run flat when 12L sixth of eight at Newcastle (6f) just 24-hours later. May be able to kick on again now 8lb higher than his win.
4-19 on AW, with all four wins coming over this C&D. Three of those have come from higher marks than today's, but he needs to pull out more to win again based on the form of his last two starts.
Multiple 5f/6f course winner whose latest success here came in December, when 3lb lower. Went close in a 0-90 here since then, but he looks likely to struggle at this level.
Has won two of his last four, the first at Chelmsford (5f) and the latest over C&D, when 13lb lower last month. Went very close again at Chelmsford last time, so is progressing, but more needed now up at this level.
Forecasts
Astro Jakk (5/2), Saaheq (10/3), North Wind (5/1), Lord Riddiford (6/1), Moveonup (8/1), Moonraker (17/2), Samovar (12/1)
An interesting contest. Saaheq enters calculations from the head of the weights, while his former trainer Mick Appleby runs Moonraker against him and he goes very well here. Moveonup is progressing well and could still make an impact now hiked up to this level, but the suggestion is ASTRO JAKK, who scored decisively here on his penultimate start and is excused his latest effort, which came just a day later.
