Victorious at Wexford in June 2m good-ground beginners' chase (two subsequent winners behind) and won over hurdles/on Flat afterwards; ran no sort of race on reappearance after break at Naas in January; needs to bounce back.

7/1
Won well at Tipperary on chase debut and after an unfortunate incident (saddle slipped) he again ran well when third in a warm Cork Grade 3 on penultimate start; another with something to prove after disappointing when last seen in November.

Useful in bumpers/hurdles with four wins in six starts and placed in Fairyhouse Grade 2 novice in April over 2m4f. Beat 16 rivals when taking 2m2f Beginners' Chase at Galway Festival in July; fair effort on reappearance and will be fitter here.

Early Doors24
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-3| J: Mark Walsh| T: J P O'Brien| CD
5/1
Cheltenham Festival winner last year and has shown some ability over fences but disappointed when making mistakes at Fairyhouse last time. Drop back in trip might not be ideal.
5
Horse silk
33/1
Struggling for form over hurdles of late and on a losing run that lasts more than three years; hard to see him getting involved on his recent form.
6
Horse silk
12/1
Pulled up last time when tried in first-time cheekpieces over hurdles. Chase debut and likely to struggle on what he's shown of late.

Forecasts

Zero Ten (1/3), Early Doors (5/1), Daly Tiger (7/1), Got Trumped (12/1), Yaha Fizz (33/1), Bay Hill (40/1)

Verdict

With three of his rivals putting in below par efforts last time out it may pay to side with ZERO TEN. There was nothing special about his reappearance run at Naas in January but that came on the back of a long lay off after winning at the Galway Festival in July. He should be a lot sharper here. Daly Tiger hasn't shown his best form in Graded company in recent starts but he has the class to make his presence felt at this level. Cheltenham Festival winner Early Doors could be thereabouts with fewer jumping errors.
  1. Zero Ten
  2. Daly Tiger
  3. Early Doors
