Prevailed on his opening start over Rules at Lingfield (2m). Was unable to follow up at Leicester (1m7½f) as he finished fifth of 11 after going off as the odds-on favourite at 8/13. Leading contender on his return to a class four contest.
Was a winner over hurdles at this course over 2m1f back in October. Has failed to add to his tally since, however, he has finished second on his last two appearances, including latest at Market Rasen (2m½f). One for the shortlist.
Has failed to finish in two runs over hurdles. He was pulled up at Kelso (2m5f) on his first attempt, while last time at Sedgefield (2m5f) he unseated his rider in a five runner field. Needs to improve on what he has shown so far.
Has been a long way down the field on his two appearances under Rules to date. He was 51L away at Ayr (2m4½f) when he finished sixth of eight last month as a 100/1 shot. Will wear a tongue-tie for the first time. Needs to improve.
His three appearances over hurdles have all come at Sedgefield where he has finished second on each occasion. His latest attempt came in an eight runner contest. Remains open to improvement. One to consider here.
Showed some promise in point-to-points. Made his debut under Rules at Newcastle (2m6f) last month where he was fourth of six after going off at 100/1. Will need to take a big step forward on this latest attempt so others are preferred.
Has had 10 appearances on the track where she has been unable to hit the frame in any of those starts. Finished fifth of seven over this C&D on her latest run. Is hard to make a case for on what she has produced to date.
Forecasts
Hold That Taught (11/10), O'Hanrahan Bridge (15/8), Multellie (9/2), Bavington Bob (25/1), Scottish Accent (40/1), Grumpy Boots (150/1), Dorothy's Flame (400/1)
HOLD THAT TAUGHT has already prevailed over hurdles at this level and he can have more success on his drop down in class. O'Hanrahan Bridge has had to settle for second place on all three of his runs over hurdles and he may have to settle for the runner up spot again, while Multellie has shown he is a smart hurdler who should be in contention at the business end of this contest.
- Hold That Taught
- O'Hanrahan Bridge
- Multellie
