Placed in a Listed race when at his best in the distant past but going through a bit of a revival at present; has won twice over C&D since the turn of the year and again feared at this level. Won an apprentices race last week but 3lb well in here.
Best AW form has been posted at Southwell but was well held by Battle Of Marathon when they met here in December. Should run his race but inescapable theory suggests Fibresand is his preferred option on synthetics.
Been off since October 2018 and you need to go back another year before that to assess his last run on the Flat; he's 0-5 on the AW and, with race fitness to prove, the gelding makes limited appeal for a punt on this occasion.
C&D winner last month and wasn't beaten far when attempting to follow up at Kempton shortly afterwards. Still not fully exposed at this trip and no surprise if she's on the premises once more.
Goes well at this time of year and well handicapped on old form. However, recent efforts leave a bit to be desired and he may again have to settle for a minor role.
Forecasts
Battle Of Marathon (1/1), Jamaican Jill (11/4), Blowing Dixie (10/3), Cry Wolf (16/1), Fleeting Visit (25/1)
BATTLE OF MARATHON is the obvious starting point in a weak race that looks to be his for taking. He's due for a 3lb rise in the weights but looks to have been found a good opportunity to strike whilst the weights are in his favour. Jamaican Jill is effective at this course and has s cope for further improvement at the trip, so merits consideration as a viable alternative, while Blowing Dixie has a bit to find with the selection but won't need to dig very deep to emerge as the best of the rest.
