Raced only once on the AW and sole win came at Windsor during the summer of 2019. Last seen finishing 11L fourth at that track (1m3f) in August and comes into this off long layoff.

In-and-out sort who had brought a model of consistency during the autumn AW campaign before returning with tame 11th of 12 at Wolverhampton (1m1f) last month. Entitled to improve for that.

Yet to win but has bags of experience but has some snippets of form. Last seen finishing 2L fifth at Wolverhampton (1m1f) last month and previous form levels gives him a place chance.

Dual C&D winner in September and last win came at Wolverhampton two starts ago. Not as good at Lingfield (1m2f) last time but given some respite in the handicap and is considered.

11-race maiden on the Flat who has yet to really show signs of winning, including weakening fifth at Lingfield (1m2f) in late December. Has plenty on his plate in this.

Winner at Wolverhampton in August 2019 but not in the same vein of form since. Hit the frame twice before tame seventh of 13 at Wolverhampton (1m) last month and may need more off this mark.

Has turned a new leaf since the turn of the new year, winning at Lingfield in January before backing that up at that track (1m2f) later that month. 3lb rise is fair and looks bang in there.

Last win came at Brighton in August 2019 but put a bad run of three efforts behind him when second at Wolverhampton (1m1f) on Boxing Day. Looks to be well-treated in the weights and has place claims.

Dual winner over 1m here last year and put in some admirable efforts in defeat, including 2L behind progressive sort over 1m here last time out. Steps up in trip and must be respected.

Sole win came at Ayr in July 2017 and proving to be slightly inconsistent at present, including latest seventh of 12 at Kempton (1m2f). Has a bit to prove at the ratings and others make more appeal.

Verdict

The new year - and decade - has brought out the best in SUBLIMINAL, who already has two victories to his name at a track which wasn't entirely set to suit. While he is pitched into deeper company now, the fair rise sees him well placed in the weights to find the necessary improvement. Dyagilev may provide the sternest resistance from bottom weight and looks to be coming back to C&D winning form from the autumn, while the likes of Creative Talent and Parknacilla are both well-treated and could improve over this distance and track.
