Casamento filly (€14,000 yearling); knew her job when making a winning debut at Lingfield (6f) four-and-a-half weeks ago; drops back in trip under a penalty; successful front-running tactics tend to be more challenging at Newcastle.

Forecasts

Kayat (1/1), Lua De Mel (5/4), Speedymining (10/1), Grandma (12/1), Belle Voci (33/1)

Verdict

Through the booking of Dylan Hogan, Kayat receives a handy 5lb from the Lingfield scorer LUA DE MEL. Furthermore, successful front-running tactics are never easy at this track and that's the approach that Ben Curtis will be forced to take aboard the George Boughey-trained filly. However, given the clear lack of viable alternatives we'll elect to stick with the sole previous winner and hope for the best.
  1. Lua De Mel
  2. Kayat
  3. Grandma
