(8)

Convivial¹⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 10-0| J: A Mullen| T: Micky Hammond

200/1

Signs of ability in two of her four starts in bumpers but struggled over an extended 2m in her most recent start in that sphere at Doncaster (good-to-soft) last month. Probably best watched on Flat debut.

Form:

(2)

Grape Soda

Age: 4| Weight: 10-0| J: H Crouch| T: J Gallagher

100/1

Unraced Swiss Spirit filly and a half-sister to three winners including multiple scorer Dear Bruin. Interesting to see how she performs on her belated debut.

Form:

(12)

Nearly Perfection²¹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-0| J: David Probert| T: A King

20/1

Improved on previous efforts when finishing fourth in a similar race to this over course and distance last time out. Has a wide draw to overcome if she is to improve on that effort.

Form: 7-4

(7)

Ollie's Dream¹⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 10-0| J: Ellie Mackenzie⁽⁷⁾| T: M D I Usher

200/1

Well beaten 20L seventh of nine when contesting a 1m novice race on debut at Kempton last month. Others make more appeal on this occasion.

Form: 7

(6)

Beautiful Illusion

Age: 3| Weight: 8-7| J: B A Curtis| T: C Appleby

5/4

Unraced Shamardal filly out of a mare who won in Group 3 company over 7f as a juvenile. Represents leading connections and she is one for the shortlist for a stable with a 33% strike-rate (6/18) in the last two weeks.

Form:

(3)

Cabaret Parisienne

Age: 3| Weight: 8-7| J: Jane Elliott| T: Tom Dascombe

20/1

Unraced Declaration Of War filly purchased for €60,000 as a yearling in 2018. Half-sister to a winner at this venue and she is of interest on her first racecourse appearance.

Form:

(10)

Dima²¹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-7| J: Hayley Turner| T: M Botti

14/1

Showed promise when finishing 4¼L fifth in a course and distance novice race when making her debut last month. Likely to have improved for that experience and market support would be notable.

Form: 5

(11)

Distant Goddess²¹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-7| J: L Morris| T: C Appleby

7/4

Ran well to finish 2L third when making her debut in a similar race to this over C&D last month. Open to improvement and strong claims of getting off the mark at the second time of asking.

Form: 3

(13)

Fairy Lachy^p1

Age: 3| Weight: 8-7| J: Morgan Cole⁽⁷⁾| T: M Botti

80/1

Unraced home-bred Kyllachy filly and a half-sister to two winners in Italy. Interesting to see how she performs with cheekpieces worn on racecourse debut.

Form:

(9)

Silver Desert

Age: 3| Weight: 8-7| J: Josephine Gordon| T: D R Lanigan

28/1

Unraced daughter of Mastercraftsman was purchased for €60,000 at the sales as a yearling. Dam won over 1m2f and she is worth a check in the market on debut.

Form:

(5)

Sukie Two

Age: 3| Weight: 8-7| J: William Carson| T: A Carson

150/1

Unraced home-bred Harbour Watch filly out of a mare who won eight times from 1m2f to 2m1f. Likely to appreciate further in time.

Form:

(4)

Vega's Angel²¹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-7| J: Hollie Doyle| T: W J Haggas

7/1

Attempted to make all prior to weakening into 4½L sixth in a novice race over this course and distance on debut last month. Likely capable of better on this occasion.

Form: 6

Non-Runners

(1)

Festive Love⁹

Weight: 8-7| Age: 3

T: M L W Bell J: Hayley Turner

Forecasts

Beautiful Illusion (5/4), Distant Goddess (7/4), Festive Love (3/1), Vega's Angel (7/1), Dima (14/1), Nearly Perfection (20/1), Cabaret Parisienne (20/1), Silver Desert (28/1), Fairy Lachy (80/1), Grape Soda (100/1), Sukie Two (150/1), Convivial (200/1), Ollie's Dream (200/1)

FESTIVE LOVE showed promise when runner-up on debut at Kempton and she can go one better stepping up in trip to take this opening fillies' novice event. The selection looks capable of getting the better of the Charlie Appleby-trained Distant Goddess who was placed here on debut while third place can go the way of Beautiful Illusion, an unraced Shamardal filly and a second runner for the Charlie Appleby stable.
