Running well in defeat of late including when third in a handicap over this C&D earlier this month. Races off the same mark here and is an interesting runner in this contest.
Recorded a 2L victory in a selling handicap over an extended 1m at this venue on his penultimate start. Decent fifth in a similar contest off this mark subsequently and is one to note in this event.
Ten race maiden finished a good 3L third in a 1m4f handicap at Kempton at the start of this month. Dropped 1lb for that effort and is worth a check in the market dropping in distance.
Maiden after five starts and failed to figure in two starts in handicap company in the autumn including over 1m2f at Yarmouth (heavy) in October. Others make more appeal on return from a break.
Made a winning debut for this stable when victorious over an extended 1m here in December and ran well when beaten a neck at Kempton (1m2f) subsequently. Bold show expected off a mark 7lb higher than for that course success.
C&D winner returned from a short break with a good 2L third in a handicap over an extended 1m here two days ago. Races off the same mark in this contest and another bold show looks likely.
Decent effort in finishing 6L fourth in a 0-50 handicap over 1m at Kempton at the start of this month. More needed upped in class and grade if he's to take this event.
12 race maiden recorded one of his better efforts when finishing 2½L third to Seaforth in a selling handicap over an extended 1m here last time out. Likely to find at least one too good once more.
C&D winner failed to shine when finishing 22L last of ten in a 7f handicap at Lingfield in November. Returning from a break that day and others make more appeal upped in distance on his first start in over two months.
Forecasts
Beau Geste (11/8), Thawry (4/1), Strict (13/2), Turquoise Friendly (7/1), Pike Corner Cross (8/1), Seaforth (16/1), Mrs Benson (16/1), Loveheart (25/1), Runaiocht (150/1)
BEAU GESTE has been in great form of late and he can register his second win in his last three starts by taking division two of this handicap contest. The selection looks capable of getting the better of Pike Corner Cross who ran well on his return to action on Saturday while third place can go to Strict who is dropping back in distance.
- Beau Geste
- Pike Corner Cross
- Strict
