Was last in a five-runner bumper on debut last April. Stepped up significantly on that when 17L third here over 2m4f (heavy) on his hurdling debut in December. Stayed on that day, so step up in trip looks positive. Should be more competitive.
Won a maiden open point on his only run in that sphere in 2018 (good to firm). Didn't run for Tom Lacey, but made a pleasing enough hurdles debut when 23L third of 10 at Leicester (2m4½f, heavy) in December. Not ruled out of the money again.
Won a maiden Irish point on his sole start in that sphere, in November (soft/heavy). Changed hands soon after and recorded a useful-looking effort when a head second here on his rules debut over C&D (heavy) in December. Big player on that form.
Won a maiden Irish point on his sole run in that sphere, three years ago. Changed hands for £130,000 after that, but not seen since. Half-brother to three winners and in good hands, so a market check looks sensible on this belated rules debut.
Made a promising bumper debut here on heavy last March. Has taken a couple of sizeable backwards steps since, so can't be recommended until we have seen more from him.
Point winner (second start) in May 2018. Nibbled at in the market when 16-1 and 12½L fourth of 14 on rules debut in a Taunton novices' hurdle (2m3f, soft) in December. Should step up on that now upped in trip and looks interesting.
Forecasts
Lies About Milan (11/10), Sending Love (11/4), The Jitterbug (9/2), Enchancia (11/2), Emphatic Qualm (20/1), The Big Yin (33/1), Mr Woolley (40/1)
The standout performer in this field so far is LIES ABOUT MILAN and Fergal O'Brien looks to have found him an opportunity to get off the mark. The Jitterbug could be a danger after his first effort, while Enhancia and Emphatic Qualm are other potential improvers, and of course Sending Love, representing a top yard, needs monitoring for market confidence.
