Modest 108-rated handicap hurdler winner over timber at 2m. Nearer last than first on dismal debut at this venue over 7f last month. Plenty to prove at present.

Casamento colt out of a Pivotal mare. Closely related to winners over 7f and 1m. Improved and encouraging effort on second start and first here in December over C&D finishing 5¼L adrift of the winner.

Gelding by Rock Of Gibraltar out of a USA bred mare. Closely related to Magical Forest seven time winner in France racing between 1m1½f and 2m. Last of 12 beaten 18L on debut at this track over 1m2½f last month. Others preferred.

Running well with much credit in a couple of Flat starts on turf at Leopardstown and when last seen in July at Roscommon. Would not have to improve much to land a blow on return to action here on AW debut.

Has certainly caught the eye since making his debut for this outfit in December. First time blinkers may just be the key needed to unlock a winning move.

Gelding by Recital out of a Lend A Hand mare. Cost €8,000 as a three-year-old. Well beaten in two career bumper starts before a dismal effort on AW debut over C&D last month.

By Frankel out of a Zafeen mare. Cost a hefty €300,000 as a yearling. Only appeared on one occasion for Sir Michael Stoute before a poor effort on AW and stable debut in December over 1m2½f. Looks a tall order on form shown.

Gelding by Sea The Stars. Half-brother to six winners, five of which are officially rated over 100, out of a dam of similar ability. Just the sole appearance for trainer Mark Johnston last year in a Leicester 1m2f novice contest well beaten.

Society Rock gelding picked up by connections for just €1,000. Finished last of 14 over C&D in December. First time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.

Gelding by Street Sense out of a USA bred mare. Closely related to Fade To Black, a winner in the US over 1m. Likely to benefit from the run on debut.

Gelding by Super Saver out of a USA bred mare. Major improvement from first run to second at this venue over 7f last month. Likely to improve with a confident move from the trainer stepping up significantly in trip.

Daughter of Getaway. Bumper winner, the mare finished a never nearer 12th of 14 on polytrack debut earlier this month over 1m2½f. Others hold stronger profiles.

By Intello out of a Danehill Dancer mare. Closely related to 1m6f Flat/2m hurdle winner Veiled Secret dam 1m3½f winner. Improvement needed from debut run at Fairyhouse when last seen in May.

Daughter of Mustameet out of a Lend A Hand mare. Unlikely to be making a significant impact on debut in a race of this nature.

Forecasts

Jerandme (13/8), Sense Of Worth (5/2), Narynkol (4/1), Indignation (7/1), Super Schemer (11/1), Chico One (20/1), Bare With Me (25/1), Mithmaar (33/1), Mustmeetinbrady's (40/1), Charle Brune (50/1), Forgetthesurprise (66/1), Orlov (66/1), Talk To Jack (66/1), Frankie G (66/1)

Verdict

It's difficult to ignore the clear and obvious chance of JERANDME for trainer Noel Meade. The dual bumper and maiden hurdle winner can hold off the challenge of the tough and genuine eight-race maiden Narynkol for the Denis Hogan yard in first-time blinkers. Super Schemer who ran a bold race at this venue over 7f will look to compete with newcomer Sense Of Worth for the Alan Oliver yard.
  1. Jerandme
  2. Super Schemer
  3. Sense Of Worth
