Posted a quiet effort on his return from a break when finishing in midfield at Wolverhampton (7f; standard) at the start of the month. Needs to prove stamina as he steps up to 1m for the first time. 21lb below last winning mark.
Never ran in a grade as low as this before. Better suited by 6f (both career wins coming over that trip), though he has placed form over this far. Not completely disgraced last time out and is 20lb below his last winning mark.
Back on the same mark he scored off over C&D four starts ago. Not completely disgraced over 1m here recently, and although the stable are going through a quiet patch (no winner for 77 days; 18 runners in that time), this looks very weak on paper.
Failed to beat a single rival over 1m at this course earlier in the month. Enough to prove on that evidence but her record of 0-15 on the AW is off-putting as well. Needs to do much more, and could possibly do with a break.
10-race maiden who has suffered some heavy defeats since posting a promising effort when runner-up at Hamilton (1m1f; good to firm) in June 2019. Best watched when in current vein of form, and can be confidently dismissed.
Both career wins have been achieved at this track, but 2019 was a year to forget for him as he regressed badly in just five starts. Failed to justify market support when backed into 9-2f, and beating just the one rival when last seen.
Inconsistent in 2019, and ended the year on a sour note when trailing in last of 14 on his seasonal reappearance over C&D. Could improve from that significantly but will need to. 3lb below the mark he scored off over C&D in December 2018.
Proved to be underwhelming once again when well-supported off a career-low mark at Southwell (1m; standard) earlier this month. Mark continues to fall, but she needs to show more encouragement as she drops back to 7f before she can be trusted.
Record has been patchy since he last won at Carlisle in July 2018. Failed to build upon promising third over C&D on his penultimate start when midfield over 1m last time out. Looks quite exposed, and others make more appeal.
Mark has been falling for a while now, and he showed more zest when a narrow third at Lingfield (7f; standard) on Saturday. Yet to win in 15 attempts on the AW, but he has been dropped another 2lb in the weights and could be well handicapped.
Been campaigned over a variety of trips recently, and she failed to improve for the step up to 1m2f when tailed off at this track last time out. Competes off a basement mark now, but is readily opposed when in such dire form.
Forecasts
N Over J (5/4), With Approval (6/1), Bobby Joe Leg (13/2), Kroy (8/1), Tarnhelm (10/1), Amood (11/1), Don't Be Surprised (12/1), I Am Dandy (16/1), Saltie Girl (28/1), Milton Road (28/1), Hey Jazzy Lady (100/1)
A low grade event which looks very difficult to solve. Bobby Joe Leg looks attractively handicapped with his mark falling 20lbs below his last winning one. Although his two career victories have been achieved over 6f, he has form over this trip and the drop in class should see him on the premises. Also taking a drop in grade is With Approval who is a previous C&D winner in November. However, a chance is taken on N OVER J who shaped with much more encouragement on his second run back from a break when third on the AW. He can take advantage of his declining handicap mark with the services of the in-form Ben Curtis an added plus.
