1m1f Hamilton winner in June just touched off and somewhat unlucky next over 1m½f at Beverley. Upped 5lb and drawn wide but still a leading contender if he's ready after the break.
Un-prolific gelding but found a really rich vein of form and after two near misses he won by a neck at Lingfield over 1m latest. Stays 1m2f so longer trip here no issue and 1lb rise leaves him as a leading contender.
Not the most consistent but ran well here penultimately over 1m½f before a lesser effort over C&D subsequently. On quite a losing run and others more compelling.
1m2f Chelmsford winner in August ran three poor races since although her latest came after a break. Not ruled out but others boast more obvious claims.
Consistent six-time winner finished a close second at Newcastle (1m2f) when last seen. Handicapper knows all about her but still expectant of a bold bid.
Unusual profile having run as a two-year-old in France, twice last year for Kevin Ryan and twice more afterwards in France. Two UK runs poor but has won twice in France so suspect we haven't seen the best of her yet.
Has snippets of form that suggest he can play a strong role if the step up in trip isn't an issue. The betting can guide as he was very ineffective on only previous run over 1m2f.
14 races and just over a year since her last win at Lingfield. Well handicapped now on best form but recent evidence suggests her unlikely to take advantage.
Eight-race maiden finished a well beaten fifth over 1m at Lingfield latest but that was on stable debut after 233 days off. Market support today would be interesting.
Arguably in career-best form after back-to-back wins (C&D and 1m2f at Chelmsford). Fourth over 1m2f at Lingfield last time another sound effort and in current form he looks a solid each-way option.
C&D winner in December 2018 but lost her way towards the end of last season and only beat one home over C&D when last seen. Had a break but others preferred.
On a handy mark but is 0-7 on the AW and her regressive form towards the end of 2019 leaves the mare with something to prove just now. Poor effort last time over 1m4f also a persuasive factor in looking elsewhere.
Forecasts
Toro Dorado (5/2), Fronsac (6/1), Railport Dolly (8/1), Red Gunner (8/1), Kilbaha Lady (8/1), Double Reflection (8/1), Balgees Time (12/1), Perfecimperfection (16/1), Hector's Here (16/1), Embrace The Moment (22/1), Lady Alavesa (25/1), Destinys Rock (80/1)
Plenty of these hold solid chances due to sound recent form but a chance is taken on HECTOR'S HERE after a layoff. He looked a really progressive sort towards the end of his three-year-old year and could easily progress again this season. Toro Dorado who only went up 1lb for his win last time out and Red Gunner are both solid alternatives.
- Hector's Here
- Toro Dorado
- Red Gunner
