Given a 74-day break since running as though something was amiss when pulled-up in a fairly hot race on hurdles debut at Market Rasen (2m4f; heavy). Best to forgive that and focus on her promise in bumpers beforehand. Major player.

Extremely difficult to make a case for given her poor run of form & exposed profile. Reverts to novice company & drops back markedly in trip after finishing last of nine at Fontwell (2m6f; soft) in a handicap on Boxing Day.
Looked to have a bright future when runner-up in a bumper at Bangor-On-Dee (2m; good) at the end of last season. However, she is yet to match that level of form in two starts so far this season. Something to prove on hurdles debut.
Impossible to fancy given her record of 0-8 in point-to-points, and the fact she has been pulled-up the last twice in that sphere. Well-beaten on sole start under rules in a Tipperary (2m; good) bumper in May 2018. Look elsewhere.

Stepped up on moderate hurdles debut at the start of the season to finish third at Exeter (2m2f; soft) when stepped up slightly in trip. Had no easy task behind the 127-rated Queens Cave that day. Interesting contender for in-form yard.
Hurdles debut over C&D was very encouraging when she finished third behind a pair of rivals with previous experience over obstacles. Should make a bold bid to get off the mark at the second attempt if able to reproduce that sort of form.

Given an unenviable task on hurdles debut when pitched into a 'Listed' contest at Taunton (2m; soft). Unsurprisingly finished tailed off, but this looks a considerably weaker contest on paper. Would still be a surprise winner.

Posted a pair of low-key efforts since switched to the hurdling ranks. This looks less competitive than those assignments, but she qualifies for a handicap mark after this which is where her future is likely to lie.

Rarest Diamond (13/8), White Chocolate (15/8), Marilyn Monroe (3/1), Poniente (11/1), Kalaya (25/1), Montys Angel (33/1), Zero To Hero (40/1), Blazing Destiny (66/1), Queen Among Kings (100/1)

Verdict

After posting a very promising first run over hurdles when making the frame over C&D, White Chocolate has likeable claims and should be right on the premises once again. Similarly comments apply to Rarest Diamond who represents the in-form Colin Tizzard yard (5-22 in the last 14 days; 23% strike-rate) and improved from her hurdles debut to finish a respectable third behind a hotpot at Exeter recently. However, a chance is taken on MARILYN MONROE who is well-related and obviously didn't run to the level she is capable of when pulled-up on her hurdles debut. The initial promise she showed in a pair of bumpers suggested she would be well up to winning a race of this nature.
  1. Marilyn Monroe
  2. White Chocolate
  3. Rarest Diamond
