One of two runners for the yard. Showed a small amount of promise when fifth on hurdles debut over C&D at the start of the month. Likely to get better with experience, and he will be of more sustained interest when entering handicaps.
Showed no improvement from low-key debut effort at Plumpton (2m2f; soft) when beaten a long way at Warwick (2m; soft) on just his second career start on New Year's Eve. Sent hurdling for the first time, but looks hopelessly up against it.
Didn't run as well as his finishing position would suggest when staying on past beaten horses to finish fourth behind Neff (1-3f) at Fontwell (2m1f; heavy) on Boxing Day. All his form prior to that would suggest he has masses prove.
Bumper winner who looks the main danger to Kid Commando. Improved upon somewhat underwhelming display on hurdles debut to finish third behind Beaufort West at Chepstow (2m; heavy) recently. In the mix if able to step forward again.
Hurdles newcomer who is the one they have to beat on the strength of his form in bumpers this season. Been competitive behind the exciting pair of Israel Champ and Soaring Glory at Ascot the last twice. Outstanding claims.
Well-beaten on both starts over hurdles this season, most recently at Warwick (2m; soft) back in November. Likely to be a big price again, and can be readily opposed with further experience needed.
Tailed off again on his second start over hurdles before the race really developed at Lingfield (2m7f; heavy) just 13 days ago. Profile is very off-putting (0-5 in point to points & 0-6 on the flat). Others have far superior claims.
This is easier than the contest he made his hurdling debut in at Ascot (2m5f; heavy) last month. However, he was tailed off then when in the process of running a woeful race. Best watched on that evidence as he drops back in trip.
Only a distant fifth on rules debut in a bumper at Uttoxeter (2m; heavy) last month. Now makes hurdles debut. Will need to show vast improvement to trouble the leading contenders on what he has shown so far.

Forecasts
Kid Commando (2/7), Jack Valentine (3/1), Hit The Rocks (4/1), Bigunonthebalcony (7/1), Pure Country (10/1), Counteract (16/1), Downe Milking Lane (50/1), Pirate Sam (50/1), Toad (100/1), Poniel (100/1)
In what looks a largely uncompetitive affair to begin proceedings, this looks an easy enough assignment for KID COMMANDO to make a winning transition to the hurdling ranks. His high-class form in bumpers before the turn of the year makes him the one to beat, and his stable are currently operating at a 60% strike-rate (3-5 in the past 14 days). Jack Valentine is the only other one in the race with some substantial form, so he could give the selection something to think about if able to build upon his third at Chepstow last time out. Meanwhile, the Gary Moore-trained pair of Bigunonthebalcony and Hit The Rocks should be kept in mind for further down the line.
