Placed on two of his three starts over jumps since joining this stable including when 11L second in first time blinkers (retained) over 2m at Hereford (heavy) earlier this month. Strong claims once more.
Well beaten last of 13 in a handicap over an extended 1m4f on the Flat here in October. Probably best watched on hurdling and stable debut.

Placed on the Flat at Fontainbleau (1m3f, good-to-soft) in May last year and has shown ability in two starts over hurdles since joining this yard. Likely more needed than when 15L fourth over an extended 1m7f at Musselburgh (good-to-soft) last time.

Successful on soft ground on the Flat in France and was purchased for €13,000 at the sales in November. Promising 4½L second on stable and hurdles debut over an extended 2m1f at Fontwell (soft) last month and is one to note in this race.

Well beaten on sole Flat start and it's been a similar story in two starts over hurdles since joining this stable in the autumn. Others make more appeal having finished 35L last of eight at Musselburgh (good-to-soft) at the start of this month.

Showed ability in France and market support would be notable down in grade having finished 48L seventh in an eight runner Grade 1 race at Chepstow (2m, heavy) on stable debut last month.

Struggled on hurdles debut at Wetherby (2m, soft) in November and was making his debut for this stable when finishing 1½L fourth over an extended 1m4f on the AW here earlier this month. Market support would be notable on hurdling return.

Twice a winner on the Flat including on heavy ground at Ayr (1m2f) in August. Led at the last and took a heavy fall when making his hurdles debut at Musselburgh (good-to-soft) in November and is of interest in this race.

Dual winner on fibresand at Southwell in February but has proven to be a disappointment since and is probably best watched on hurdling debut.

Forecasts

Black Abbey (1/1), Artistic Language (3/1), Three Castles (10/3), Jean Genie (13/2), Beat Box (7/1), Major Snugfit (28/1), Dequall (100/1), Dolly Dupree (100/1), Bannockburn (100/1)

Verdict

THREE CASTLES showed ability prior to falling on debut in November and with the form of that race working out well he can get off the mark at the second time of asking over hurdles with a victory in this maiden event. Artistic Language can register his third second placed effort in four starts by finishin grunner-up ahead of Black Abbey who placed on hurdling debut on his most recent outing.
  1. Three Castles
  2. Artistic Language
  3. Black Abbey
