Four time course winner (three over C&D) who was narrowly denied over C&D off this mark two runs ago. Never really involved last week at Chelmsford but a return to this venue and a decent draw means he shouldn't be far away.
Has returned from an eight-month break in moderate form, with two poor efforts here (1m½f) and Chelmsford (1m). Cheekpieces quickly dispensed with in favour of visor here and can't be discounted as he now 5lb below his last mark.
Has held his form fairly well since winning off 5lb lower at Kempton (7f) in September. Handicapper not relenting as a result and probably needs to come down a few pounds before winning again. Has place claims.
Only win came here (1m½f) in August off 1lb lower. Mixed form since then but if repeating her runner-up efforts over C&D three runs ago and last time at Southwell (1m), she won't be far away. Her inconsistency is a concern, however.
Only had seven runs, three since joining this yard. Handicap mark already dropped 16lb after some poor efforts but first time in a 0-60 and with a leading jockey booked here makes him worth keeping an eye on for market support.
5lb below his last winning mark and is dual course winner (5f/6f). Mixed form at Dundalk recently but his effort two starts ago, when beaten just 2¾L into fifth, would give him squeak here if bouncing back from a poor run last time.
Yet to score in nine attempts. He has hit the frame on a number of occasions though. Blinkers worn last time off again and his mark continues to slip. Well drawn to attack and hard to assume this yard have got the best from him.
Has a 5f Lingfield win to her name. Returned from a year off with two decent runs at Lingfield (6f) last month, beaten less than 1½L on both starts. That form gives her good chance here but her sire's record on Tapeta is concerning.
10-race maiden who finished runner-up on debut but hasn't matched that since. Handicap mark continues to slide but no signs of the decline being arrested of late and can only be watched until better form is shown.
Won a C&D classified event three starts back and has held his form in two subsequent outings, including at Newcastle (6f) 32 days ago. Return to 7f should suit and likely to be thereabouts.
Irish raider who is a 17-race maiden. Ran well over 1m at Dundalk three starts ago but couldn't back the effort up, including over C&D last time. His overall record suggests, however, he is a somewhat inconsistent sort.
Forecasts
Fortissimo (7/2), Ahundrednotout (5/1), Ishebayorgrey (7/1), Ubla (15/2), Fly The Nest (8/1), French Twist (8/1), Viola Park (8/1), Tanqeeb (12/1), Decoration Of War (12/1), Roman Warrior (22/1), Little Miss Lilly (25/1)
With a fair record over this C&D, VIOLA PARK should appreciate the return back to this venue. He is also drawn well. French Twist has some fair form of late but is a shade inconsistent, although that can be said for many of the opposition whilst Tanqeeb is fascinating runner. He has dropped in the weights significantly and a leading jockey is booked so is worth a second glance.
- Viola Park
- French Twist
- Tanqeeb
