Didn't show a great deal when with Dermot Weld but off the mark on first run for this yard when dead-heating at Southwell having made virtually all. Form not easy to assess and now makes handicap debut.

Without a win since 2017 and this a rare run beyond 7f. Needs to find a bit more to regain the winning thread but Kirby rides for the first time which takes the eye

All three wins on the A/W have been gained at Kempton but ran well here on latest coming from an impossible position to finish a close fourth. Dangerous if getting a stronger pace to aim at.

Off the mark when gamely making all in Novice event over 1m2f here last month. Has form at this shorter trip but probably needs to find a bit more back in handicap company though first-time cheekpieces may help.

Well over a year since last win and hasn't been shaping of late as if that run will end soon especially against plenty of rivals in good heart.

Won when with Tim Easterby last summer but never recovered from a slow start when very disappointing on debut for this yard at Chelmsford last week and bit to prove now in stronger race.

Lightly raced for his age, and claims on his Newcastle fourth in November but failed to recover from a tardy start at Southwell only run since. May well have been unsuited by the surface there as well so not one to give up on yet.

Forecasts

Exmoor Beast (5/2), Haddaf (3/1), Maqboola (4/1), Tranchee (9/2), Fortune And Glory (5/1), Atletico (7/1), Silver Dust (8/1), One To Go (20/1), Baltic Prince (20/1)

Verdict

MAQBOOLA really took the eye with her runaway win at Kempton recently and although this is a much tougher contest she is worth following in her current mood. Fortune And Glory does his winning at Kempton but showed enough here last time to be of interest and along with Atletico may follow the selection home.
  1. Maqboola
  2. Fortune And Glory
  3. Atletico
