Formerly-trained in Ireland and took advantage of a slide in the handicap since joining this trainer by scoring over C&D last week. Carries a 5lb penalty for that, but still open to more over this far and should be thereabouts.
Not seen since July, when fifth in a Redcar handicap (7f). Had shown some promise in other runs in addition to that, and this unexposed gelding could make an impact on his first start on AW.
Triple course winner, but has had a chance or two lately and has been unable to take advantage of marks that offered potential. Not written off, but needs to improve on his fourth behind three of these opponents last week.
Got the better of three re-opposing rivals to win here for the third time last week. Now shoulders 5lb penalty, and there didn't obviously appear to be that much in hand, so more needed to follow-up.
Triple turf winner over 7f/1m, but 0-11 on AW. Well held here on his last three starts and others look to have stronger cases.
18-race maiden who has put in some very respectable efforts at this track in recent months. Not beaten far from today's mark over C&D last time, but needs to raise the bar to improve on place prize money.
Hasn't won since May 2018. Took a step back in the right direction when third to Blazing Dreams over C&D last week. Not ruled out if able to come up with a similar effort.
0-4 in previous visits here, but has faced some tough tasks in saying that. Hasn't won for some time, but has been off since October and has a few things to prove.
Dual C&D winner in November. Handicapper currently looks in control after that, as underlined by his run behind several of today's opponents here last week.
Goes well here and got off the mark at the ninth attempt when scoring over C&D last month from 7lb lower. Backed that up when going close behind Blazing Dreams last time, from today's mark. Claims.
Forecasts
Double Martini (11/4), High Fort (9/2), Blazing Dreams (5/1), Proceeding (8/1), Curfewed (17/2), Newmarket Warrior (10/1), Mango Chutney (11/1), Kind Review (25/1), Destroyer (28/1), Zeshov (80/1)
Double Martini should prove very competitive again, despite a 5lb penalty, but HIGH FORT has raised his game of late and he could be the one this time, after going close from this mark recently. Blazing Dreams, Mango Chutney and Newmarket Warrior are all also respected.
- High Fort
- Double Martini
