C&D winner in the past but twelve runs since his last win. Was short of room when sixth in 5f Newcastle handicap earlier this month but probably has work to do off of this mark.
Got off the mark over 7f here in the past and took his liking for this track up another level when winning C&D handicap from re-opposing Bahuta Acha at the beginning of December. Only up 2lb so bang in the mix.
Has some good form in her book and gained reward for consistent efforts with two victories here, including over C&D last time out. Is clearly in good heart and sets the standard once again.
Losing streak now stands at 15 but showed some signs of coming back to his best form when second at Pontefract (6f) in July. Has been absence since however and may need this effort.
Previous C&D winner, with last one coming in November. Subsequently second behind Chookie Dunedin before poor ninth here last time. Not best placed that day and can be forgiven for that effort.
Remains a maiden but now hitting the frame recently, including when finishing well to take third at Lingfield (6f) on latest start. Debut on tapeta but should be running towards a place in this.
Previous C&D winner but not in the same form as earlier this year. Latest ninth at Kempton (6f) in November means he needs more but tries first-time cheekpieces and has had wind operation.
Previous C&D winner who has been going well at here recently, including when finishing second of 10 in C&D handicap over Christmas. Will need slightly more to win but has place claims.
Inconsistent sort and yet to show sparkle for this yard. Never a factor after halfway at Southwell (5f) 8 days ago and likely booked for minor honours in this.
Poor record of one win from 26 runs but came over C&D two starts ago. Was poorly placed but to her credit took fourth over C&D last time out but this is much deeper and is 6lb out of the weights.
Forecasts
Reasoned (9/4), Chookie Dunedin (7/2), Big Lachie (9/2), Bahuta Acha (6/1), Shake Me Handy (13/2), Spirit Of Wedza (12/1), Requinto Dawn (20/1), Solar Park (40/1), Isabella Ruby (66/1), Tan (125/1)
Plenty of previous C&D winning form is brought to the table and REASONED looks well-placed to go well once again. Her success over C&D last time was described as 'easy' and it was certainly taking to the eye, she can take this as a hat-trick of wins and looks set to compete in. higher grades soon. Chookie Dunedin and Bahuta Acha represent a good form line on their recent ding-dong battle over C&D and have been treated well enough by the handicapper, while an outsider claim can be made for Spirit Of Wedza, who has shown an aptitude for this track during his career and would be solid each-way value.
- Reasoned
- Chookie Dunedin
- Spirit Of Wedza
