Modest form posted so far and both starts since returning from a wind operation have left a bit to be desired. Now tried with cheekpieces applied but plenty to prove all the same (also needs to conclusively prove his stamina will hold out).
Goes well at this course and this looks easier than last week's race here (over 1m6f). A strong pace will suit and the veteran would be dangerous to rule out from his lowly handicap mark.
Didn't settle on debut for his current yard when tried over hurdles at Fontwell in October; but he did manage a win (over 1m3f) on the Flat when trained by Pat Phelan last May. The stable is presently in better form so still worth a betting check.
Won over an extended 1m4f at Wolverhampton last February but no joy in a handful of modest races since. Missed the break at Newcastle last month and that run is best forgotten but stamina still to prove over this trip.
Form under both codes has been uninspiring of late and he noticeably has form to reverse with Carvelas from last time out; others looks stronger on recent efforts.
Finished just behind Carvelas here last week - but did have Johni Boxi in behind him at the line - so not much to find from a 2lb lower mark. Stamina over the trip might be a problem, though. The betting can guide.
Not out of this when the best of his form on Fibresand is taken into consideration but the gelding is 0-8 so far and needs to bounce back from a poor effort back at Southwell last week.
Stablemate of Lady Shanawell but no back number if able to see out the trip better than he did at Newcastle on his penultimate start. Not so good last time but has more scope than most and could still make this a good test for his travel companion.
Snippets of form give him a chance at this level and interesting to note he's now on a career lowest mark. Reasonable place claims on the best of his profile but last two starts need to be forgiven.
Improved since faced with stamina tests and also won a juvenile hurdle at Wetherby in October; kept good company in that sphere since. Reverts to the Flat at a very winnable level for one of her ability and looks like being a key figure here.
A good effort at Kempton on her penultimate start brings the filly into the equation but she was never able to land a serious blow in a similar race last time out and is now 0-10; has obvious risk attached.
