Habitual slow starter (possesses ability); kept on strongly inside the final couple of furlongs when beating the subsequent 7f winner Break The Silence over C&D on New Year's Day; 6lb higher; major chance.
Made easy work of winning a 0-55 C&D handicap on his penultimate start (won by 7L); was no match for the progressive Jazz Hands under an incurred penalty the following week (third); sits a further 3lb higher in the weights.
Sole win came for Mark Tompkins in a 1m2f Newcastle novice in March 2018; has left the care of Ilka Gansera-Leveque since her last start 52 days ago; first start on Fibresand (dam won on this surface) with an array of added equipment.
Beaten a neck by Reasoned at Wolverhampton (7f) on her penultimate start; unfortunately for her connections that is somewhat of a form outlier when compared to her other modest efforts since October; is difficult to enthuse over.
Iffraaj colt who cost 210,000gns as a yearling; basically disappointing so far (0-3) - slowly away and outpaced when sent off 15-8f over 6f here in October; is tackling a new trip (dam won over 1m-1m1f).
Veteran; reasonably consistent at this track (7f-1m) between February and May 2019; feasibly handicapped under the 7lb claimer Rhona Pindar if fit and ready to do himself justice off a 246-day absence.
More miss than hit in recent months; with Declan Carroll when folding up in front (looked likeliest winner) at Kempton (7f) in mid-September; soon headed in a backward direction when push came to shove here on New Year's Day (is held by Oblate).

OBLATE is a habitual slow starter who will surely touch more rewarding odds in-running (than her SP). However, with Robyn Brisland's horses steadily returning to peak form and based upon the assumption that she doesn't completely blow the start, she ought to be able to follow up her New Year's Day C&D win. She had the measure of the consistent Break The Silence (won over 7f here on January 3rd) on that occasion, and can make light of a 6lb weights rise. A potential danger is the lightly raced (so far disappointing) Fox Shinji who may prove slightly more effective over this extra yardage (dam was a 1m-1m1f winner).
