Still unexposed filly who met trouble in running when unplaced last time. Previously solid second over C&D having earlier won Lingfield 6f novice auction stakes. Fair chance on balance.
Hinted at a little ability in three unplaced juvenile runs for Archie Watson last spring then not seen again until debut for current yard when third of 5 over C&D last month. Ran creditably that day and makes handicap bow now.
Placed 3-8 starts over 5f-6f for Philip Makin. Claimed after finishing second last time in Wolverhampton 6f seller. Returns from four-month break for yard in good from at present so worth a second glance.
Gradually finding her level after six starts and ran fair race last time when second over C&D in first-time visor. Runs off same mark and should be thereabouts once again.
Showed little on first four starts but hinted at a little ability when fifth last time in C&D h'cap when tried in blinkers for first time. Headgear retained and will know more now but needs to take another step forward to score.
Invincible Spirit filly whose dam is half-sister to 2000 Guineas winner Aussie Rules. Only modest unplaced form in three juvenile novice event this winter but may do better now handicapping. Yard having fairly quiet spell though.
Showed promise when fifth of 13 on racecourse bow at Windsor in August but hasn't pulled up any trees in two starts since. May have more of a say now handicaping and isn't overburdened so looks a potential contender.
Towards rear all four starts so far and dropped 3lb following uninspiring handicap bow at Chelmsford last month over 7f. Needs to improve to have an say in the matter.
Only modest and hasn't really threatened to have a say in the argument in seven starts so far. Only beaten two lengths when seventh here in 7f h'cap in October but ran poorly over C&D last time and first-time blinkers now applied.
Eight races without a place but has shown bits and pieces of form that suggest he could be up to winning a very ordinary race if things go his way. Well backed here penultimate start but never got into it.
Forecasts
Bezzas Lad (11/4), Sweet Serenade (5/1), Miss Thoughtful (6/1), Star Of St Louis (7/1), Amicia (8/1), Inevitable Outcome (10/1), Cliff Wind (11/1), Baileys Freedom (16/1), Candid (16/1), Heleta (50/1)
There could be one or two in this race flying under the rader, including handicap debutante INEVITABLE OUTCOME who has shown a little ability in her three runs so far. It wouldn't surprise to see her in the shake-up. Beautifully bred Cliff Wind is another open to improvement so a market check is advised, whle both Sweet Serenade and Bezza's Lad come into the reckoning on the pick of their efforts. Top weight Miss Thoughtful is another worthy of consideration.
- Inevitable Outcome
- Miss Thoughtful
- Sweet Serenade
