2/1
Ex-Colin Tizzard-trained maiden over timber, has shown a bit more since going chasing for new trainer in his three runs. Second of two finishers at Hereford (2m5f, heavy; 15-8) last time (Bennys Girl pulled up). More needed to break duck.

Knows where the winning line is when in the mood and ran well over hurdles here last month (2m, heavy); tailed off when pulled up since at Fontwell however. 3-5 career wins have come in January.

Creditable second to an in-form rival on soft ground at Uttoxeter in October off the back of another wind operation, but not in the same form when pulled up after mistakes last time out. Blinkers now tried.

Point-to-point winner in May 2018, unable to register in nine starts over hurdles but last month's Fakenham chase bow (2m5f, good to soft; 4-1) hinted he'll do better now going over the larger obstacles and possible improver.

14-race maiden has finished fourth on both starts since returning from a break most recently when beaten 3¾L over an extended 2m7f (heavy) at this venue on chasing debut in November. Worth a try back down in distance.

Struggled in three starts this campaign including when 51L seventh in a first time visor (absent here) over an extended 2m7f at this course (heavy) at the start of December. Previous course winner needs to bounce back.

Decent effort over C&D on comeback and put poor Hereford run behind her with 15L Fakenham win on New Year's Day. Still well treated on old form and won three on the spin when last successful in spring of 2018.

Not really found any consistency since C&D win in November 2017 and although placed twice since he has achieved little in the other seven; so again rates a risky proposition on first run since April (record fresh not great).

Maiden after 13 starts and failed to figure when beaten 52L over 2m4f in a handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (heavy) on seasonal debut recently. Others make more appeal on return to chasing.

13-race maiden, unseated rider on sole previous attempt over fences. Pulled up last month on seasonal bow at Fakenham over hurdles and big improvement demanded.

Forecasts

The Brothers (2/1), Timcoda (5/1), Inspireus (6/1), Bennys Girl (7/1), Touch Screen (8/1), Glorious Boru (8/1), Quarry Wizard (12/1), Sky Full Of Stars (14/1), Burgess Dream (20/1), Cockney Seagull (25/1), Monet Moor (66/1)

Verdict

Bennys Girl remains well treated from this mark after a decisive success at Fakenham on New Year's Day and it's worth recalling she racked up a hat-trick in the spring of 2018 when last successful. The market will reflect her credentials. She had previously been pulled up in a Hereford contest where The Brothers finished second (of two finishers) and that rival is a possible improver here. So, too, is GLORIOUS BORU after a decent start over fences last time at Fakenham. A maiden over timber, he looks set to prove better in this discipline and has a very handy 5lb claimed from the promising Cillin Leonard now.
