Four-time course winner at much shorter trip who now steps up in trip having not won beyond 1m2f. Failed to show anything like his best form in three starts back from a break; falling in the handicap (5lb below last winning mark); chance if he stays.

On an ever extending losing run this will be the first time he's encountered this surface but he does come here with plenty to prove. Well held when racing on Tapeta last time; would be a surprise if he could get involved even off a plummeting mark.

Back on the AW last time on his first start for this yard and acquitted himself well although he would have been more effective off a stronger gallop. That was his first run for six months, entitled to come on, interesting off this sort of mark.

Versatile staying handicapper at this level and comes here with strong claims having won her last two starts. Did well to win at Wolverhampton last time in a race that wasn't run to suit (can be slow away); leading player for the hat-trick.

Failed to make much of an impact of late with even a stable switch failing to rejuvenate her form. Ran poorly in first-time cheekpieces last time; mark continues to edge its way downwards but hard to support until she shows dynamism.

C&D winner taking a 0-55 handicap here in October off a 10lb lower mark and has performed well enough since then off higher marks in handicaps. Faced with a difficult pace scenario last time (not disgraced)

Still in good heart after he won over 1m4f at Kempton in October off a 4lb lower mark although the race was a weak one. Both races since have matched that level of form even; needs the emphasis more on stamina now if he's to progress any further.

Showed improved form and confirmed the promise of his previous run when scoring here over 1m5f last November. Below-par on his one run since although the effects of a busy spell may have caught up with him; others appeal more.

Seen to good effect when making all to win his only race so far at Nottingham in April. Has looked rather vulnerable since running consistently but coming up short on several occasions; went off to hard at Lingfield last time.

Forecasts

Falcon Cliffs (7/2), In Demand (7/2), Homesick Boy (5/1), Que Quieres (7/1), Banta Bay (7/1), The Night King (7/1), Ignatius (8/1), Tor (25/1), Double Reflection (33/1)

Verdict

Course winner Falcon Cliffs arrives looking to complete her hat-trick and she could yet complete that feat having done well to win last time despite not having the race run to suit and a strongly-run contest will be much to her advantage. IN DEMAND may prove to be a doughty opponent though having shaped well last time off a six-month break again in a race that didn’t go his way; dropped 1lb he could be seen to better effect this time. The Night King drops in grade with the booking of Adam Kirby catching the eye and a market move for him should be noted. Banta Bay and Homesick Boy are two others worth taking a close look at.
