Motivator filly; was always in rear (50-1) on hurdles/stable debut at Aintree (2m1f, good to soft) three weeks ago; reappears in a newly applied hood and tongue-tie combination.
Particularly solid on the Flat at Nottingham (with cut underfoot); stamina isn't guaranteed at 2m; interesting to see how she takes to hurdling nevertheless.
63-rated Flat maiden (0-7) who left the care of John Gosden for 22,000gns in July; dropped to rear from the sixth on hurdles/stable debut at Ludlow (2m, soft) seven weeks ago; cheekpieces are now applied.
63-rated on the Flat (1-15); 18-1 when hampered and unseated rider four out on hurdles debut at Aintree (2m1f, good to soft) three weeks ago; sports a newly applied hood.
Grey Sun Central filly from a 1m6f/2m winning dam (Penang Princess); third foal; half-sister to the bumper winner Enemy Coast Ahead; represents Dan Skelton (has a strong overall hand on today's Doncaster card).
Regressive on the Flat (0-7) and tailed-off on hurdles debut at Fakenham (2m, good) in October; virtually impossible to fancy.
Moderate on the Flat (a 62-rated maiden); has her sights lowered over hurdles after finishing a respectable 24L fourth of 11 to Fraser Island at Newbury (2m½f, soft).
Lowly rated on the Flat (53) and possibly flattered by her fifth to Midnights' Gift at Fakenham (2m, good) in October; others more convincing as prospective winners.
Helmet filly; twice placed on the Flat (7f-1m); down the field (66-1) on hurdles debut at Aintree (2m1f, good to soft) three weeks ago; it's debatable as to whether or not she possesses the stamina reserves for the winter game.
Flat maiden (0-13); finished just behind Ravenscar (both well beaten) on hurdles debut at Aintree (2m1f, good to soft) three weeks ago.
Won over 2m on the Flat in France (Nort-Sur-Erdre) for M.Brasme prior to joining the JP McManus battalions for €105,000; travelled well until folding quickly from the second last on hurdles debut at Warwick (2m, soft) 17 days ago.
Sole Flat win for Ollie Pears came over 7f at Catterick in July 2018; 0-3 over hurdles for Mike Sowersby (improved at Catterick latest); others are considered to be more likely candidates.
Authorized filly with plenty of placed efforts on the Flat in France for H-A. Pantall; merits a basic market check (in a weak race) on hurdles debut for the much respected Fergal O'Brien.
Forecasts
Sainte Doctor (5/4), Yauthym (4/1), Fantastic Ms Fox (13/2), It Can Be Done (8/1), Cuban Sun (10/1), Mrs Meader (10/1), Ravenscar (22/1), Smashing Lass (22/1), Red Archangel (25/1), Peripherique (50/1), Caballine (50/1), Fanfaronade (50/1), Kalaya (100/1)
With the exception of the JP McManus-owned SAINTE DOCTOR, those with previous form over hurdles don't set a particularly taxing standard, so the hurdling newcomers Cuban Sun, It Can Be Done and Yauthym would make some form of basic appeal. However, the selection deserves another chance to prove herself as worthy of the €105,000 price tag after seemingly becoming tired (travelled strongly into contention) late on in a better race than this at Warwick (2m, soft) 17 days ago.
- Sainte Doctor
- It Can Be Done
- Cuban Sun
