Stowaway gelding, cost €6,800 as a three-year-old. Full brother to two NH winners and dam a half-sister to a winning chaser; likely to be a tough introduction and probably best watched.

Has had four attempts under Rules to get off the mark without success. He was third of 18 at Punchestown (2m½f) on his best performance yet. Has been well held on his two runs since then. More is needed.

Has yet to shine in his two runs to date. He was a long way down the field in 21st place of 24 on his debut at Fairyhouse (2m4f), while he failed to beat a single rival last time in a seven runner contest at Downpatrick (2m1½f). Hard to fancy.

Finished fourth of 11 at Thurles (2m) on his second start last month, albeit 29L off the winner after weakening in the closing stages on his return to action. Remains open to improvement so he is not one to ignore.

Has had one run so far where he prevailed comfortably in a point-to-point at Belclare (3m), justifying going off as the 11/10 favourite. Makes his Rules debut here from a strong yard. Leading contender.

Was fancied to run well on his debut in a point-to-point at Tattersalls Farm (3m) but fell at the fourth obstacle. Makes his rules debut in a bumper here. Will wear a tongue-tie for the first time. One to consider.
Has shown very little so far in five appearances on the track. He was ninth of 18 last time over hurdles at Clonmel (2m½). Back in a bumper now where he will wear a tongue-tie for the first time. Others make a greater appeal.
Won a point-to-point on his debut at Lisronagh by three lengths in a smart display to begin his career. Has joined a leading yard and must be respected on his first run under Rules. One for the shortlist.

Was a long way down the field on his Rules debut at Navan (2m4f) in a maiden hurdle last month after starting at 100/1. Will not need to jump any obstacles this time but has to take a big step forward.

Did not complete the course on his debut in a point-to-point at Ballycahane (3m) when he was pulled up. Finished eighth of 10 over this C&D last time. Has to improve on those two showings to be competitive here.

Went off as the 9/4 joint-favourite on his debut at Carlisle (2m1f) earlier this month but came back at the rear of the five runners. Will likely come on for that run so he can't be discounted on his second attempt.

Mastercraftsman gelding, dam placed in Group company over 7f on the Flat. Well worth watching in the market given the yard's success in this race in recent times and has an eye-catching pedigree.

Farouk D'Alene (4/6), Mig Des Taillons (11/2), Trump Legend (7/1), Railway Hurricane (8/1), Ugo Du Misselot (14/1), Ruhm Und Ehre (16/1), The Mayne Man (20/1), Blue Ribbon (20/1), Nathaniel's Dream (25/1), Mcquinn (25/1), Runadrum (33/1), My Wings (33/1), I Don't Get It (33/1), Raleagh Flora (50/1), Ballyallaght (50/1)

Verdict

FAROUK D'ALENE was successful on his sole appearance in a point-to-point by 18-lengths and must be fancied to build upon that here on his Rules debut from this leading yard. Trump Legend is an interesting newcomer who commands a lot of respect despite no experience, while Railway Hurricane comes into this on the back of a victory in a point-to-point on his first appearance and should be taken to hit the frame.
