Off the mark at the eighth time of asking on his second visit to the track when landing an eight runner handicap over C&D off a 3lb lower mark when last seen in October. Another bold show likely.
Gelding by Gutaifan out of a Danehill mare. Running with plenty of credit in a couple of starts over C&D last month. More needed but enters calculations.
Colt by Slade Power out of a Montjeu mare. Closely related to 11-race maiden Elegantly Bound, runner up in five of his ten starts in GB racing between 5f and 1m. Market likely to be the best guide on debut.
Anjaal colt, cost €11,000 as a yearling. Career best effort on his fifth start over 7f at this venue earlier this month finishing third 14 beaten 3L. Appears to have plenty on his plate here.
Running well in defeat in a number of starts on the AW in England on the Chelmsford and Lingfield surfaces for trainer Mohamed Moubarak. Capable of better still on stable debut.
€48,000 yearling, Dark Angel filly. Poor form in two of his three starts in England before finishing last of 13 beaten over 19L on stable debut at this venue over 1m last month. Still opposable with significant drop in trip.
Daughter of No Nay Never out of a Dutch Art mare. Not disgraced on debut over C&D last month finishing 6L adrift of Sampers Seven. More expected on second start for respected connections.
Cable Bay filly out of a Dubawi mare. Closely related to Eclipse Storm, winner on debut over 6f. Went down by ½L on second career start over C&D last month. Worth a market check with yard among the winners here on Wednesday.
Filly by Starspangledbanner out of a Lawman mare. Dam won over 5f, half-sister to Queen Amira, a winner over 5f/6f. Ran well to run Sampers Seven to ½L over C&D last month and capable of improvement in this contest.
Running with plenty of credit in a couple of AW spins in the UK at Kempton and Newcastle. Looks a progressive type and shortlisted here.
11-race maiden posted a career best when finishing close up in a bunch finish over C&D last month. Well held over 6f since but likely to be more of a danger back at this trip.
Forecasts
Big Gossey (2/1), On Tick (5/1), Bombshell (11/2), Chanell Eclipse (6/1), Hija De La Luna (10/1), Lapses Linguae (10/1), Boundless Power (11/1), Life And Strife (14/1), Tinkerbells Effect (16/1), Ossco (33/1), Bare All (50/1)
BIG GOSSEY can get off the mark at ther fourth time of asking for connections on his third visit to the track. The gelding can get a decent pull into the race from Bare All who is likely to grab the lead from stall two. The selection can get the better of the Emmet Mullins-trained Lapses Linguae who has been performing well on the AW surfaces at Kempton and Newcastle in the last month. C&D winner On Tick should not be underestimated, while Bombshell for trainer Joseph O'Brien and Chanell Eclipse can both improve on their most recent appearances over C&D.
- Big Gossey
- Lapses Linguae
- On Tick
