Las Tunast38

9/1
2m specialist who has been well held on both runs this season, but is now just 2lb higher than when scoring at Wetherby in the spring. Latest Kelso run was perhaps not as bad as at first glance, and he is not ruled out.

Casual Cavalierp32
Age: 11|  Weight: 11-11| J: Harry Reed(3)| T: T Davidson| OR:  110| D
12/1
Veteran gelding by Presenting who scored on heavy ground twice last season over 2m-2m4f). 3lb higher than the more recent of those at Newcastle. Entitled to need reappearance/stable debut, and not ruled out this time.

Didn't end last season well and it was much the same on his reappearance at Newcastle last month. Has slipped back to a handy mark as a result, and it would be no surprise to see him make a big impact this time.

22/1
Former Henry de Bromhead inmate who got stuck in the mud on his debut for this trainer at Hexham last month. Still looks to be a tough enough mark, and others push stronger cases.

Well held on both starts since joining this stable from France, when he hasn't jumped as well as he might. If he can improve in that department, we would see more from him this time.

Maxed Out King21
Age: 11|  Weight: 11-3| J: Aidan Coleman| T: J Parkinson & S Smith| OR:  102| D
10/3
Veteran gelding who got back to winning ways at Sedgefield (2m, soft) last time out. Up 4lb for that rejuvenated effort, and if he can act as well here as at that nearby venue, he would be entitled to go close.

Cybalkot17
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-3| J: Jonathan England| T: S England| OR:  102
11/4
13-race maiden who hasn't really threatened in two runs since joining this stable. Is back on a handy mark as a result, and makes some each-way appeal.

Felix Mendelssohnp122
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-12| J: Sam Coltherd(3)| T: W Coltherd| OR:  97| D
9/1
Blinkers swapped for cheekpieces today, and he's back on the same mark as when scoring twice on good ground in May. Slower ground a concern, and he will need to step up on his latest effort if he is to take advantage of this mark again.

Forecasts

Cybalko (11/4), Reverant Cust (3/1), Maxed Out King (10/3), Felix Mendelssohn (9/1), Las Tunas (9/1), Casual Cavalier (12/1), Fort De L'Ocean (14/1), Generalisation (22/1)

Verdict

A competitive event with Las Tunas back on the sort of mark from which he can make an impact, Cybalko also looking well treated again, and Maxed Out King another who should be capable of going well after a revived effort last time. Casual Cavalier is also of interest with a run under his belt, but the suggestion is REVERANT CUST, who is also back on a good mark and should be better for his most recent outing.
  1. Reverant Cust
  2. Casual Cavalier
  3. Maxed Out King
