Third off a mark of 100 in AW Mile Championships in April, but out of form and down to current mark of 85 prior to finally showing some old spark when staying-on third over C&D last time. Extra 3f though is a slight concern.

Been a decent performer in his time and came out of doldrums to score over 1m4f here penultimate start. Better effort last time off 3lb higher when close seventh in hot C&D handicap and every chance if repeating that run.

4-14 on turf but yet to hit the target on AW in five previous attempts, although has been placed twice. Just outstayed over 1m4f last time when close second and drop back makes plenty of sense. 2lb higher though for his troubles.

Goes well here winning at both 1m2f and 1m4f. Tackles intermediate trip now having scored in game fashion here last time and has 5lb higher mark to contend with.

Landed third win of the year when scoring over C&D penultimate start and failed by just half a length off current mark when narrowly beaten here last time. Consistent and sure to be in the thick of the action once again

Scrambled home by a nose in mile fillies' novice stakes here last November, but disappointed first two starts this year prior to much better run last time at Chelmsford when not beaten far in sixth. 2lb lower so not without hope.

Gained due reward for series of solid runs when winning over C&D last time under this apprentice rider. 3lb higher but combination seems to have clicked and another good show looks very much on the cards.

Wolverhampton 1m novice stakes winner in March prior to eight-month absence. No show on both starts since and jury out at present on how much ability remains. Eased 4lb since last tailed off run.

Musselburgh 7f handicap winner this spring for Mark Johnston. Second over C&D in October for current yard and again ran well here last time when narrowly beaten over 1m4f. Blinkers now applied and won't be at all far away on recent evidence.

C&D winner in February off 2lb lower mark but has looked in grip of handicapper in two starts here since returning from wind surgery, although hasn't run badly by any means. May find a few too good once again.

Won Dundalk 1m2f maiden on debut for Dermot Weld this spring then ran very poorly next two starts prior to fifth of 13 at Ballinrobe in July. Makes British debut for new connections and may need a run or two to acclimatize after five months off.

Forecasts

Fearless Warrior (11/4), Glendevon (4/1), Kyllachy Gala (6/1), Lady Adelaide (8/1), City Tour (10/1), My Boy Sepoy (10/1), Sashenka (10/1), Queen Constantine (11/1), Voi (25/1), Mouriyani (50/1), Willy Sewell (66/1)

Verdict

QUEEN CONSTANTINE's young rider appeared to find the key to her when winning here last time and the combination look set to make another bold bid off just a 3lb higher mark. Sashenka is holding her form well and another bold show would not surprise, while recent course winner Fearless Warrior shouldn't be inconvenienced by the drop back a furlong. My Boy Sepoy and Kyllachy Gala are both in fair form and have decent claims, while if he stays, top weight Glendevon is attractively weighted on his form of earlier this year.
  1. Queen Constantine
  2. My Boy Sepoy
  3. Sashenka
