Horse A-Z
Has been a long way down the field on his two appearances so far. His last run was over hurdles where he was 14th of 16 runners at Chepstow (2m3½f). Has to take a big stride forward to be in the mix.

Was successful twice on the Flat. His form at the back end of the year was below his best. He came back at the rear of eight runners at Wolverhampton (1m6f) on the AW earlier this month. Best to watch on his hurdles debut.

Won a bumper on his opening career start at Newbury (2m½f). Was third of 13 last time at Exeter (2m1f) in the race won by Sporting John who has since come out and won again. One to beat here.

Did not jump very well before being pulled up on his debut at this course (2m4f) back in March. Has since had a wind-op which should help his breathing problems. Set for first run for his new yard. Others are preferred.

Has been very disappointing across his three appearances to date. He failed to beat a single rival in his two bumper outings, while he was pulled up on his hurdles debut at Hereford (2m3½f). Hard to make a case for.

A point-to-point winner but is still a maiden under Rules. Has been a long way down the field on his two appearances over hurdles, including latest at Warwick (2m) when he was sixth of 15. Needs to improve.

Failed to score in 23 attempts on the Flat. He was 10th of 21 on his latest outing on the track at Navan (1m6f). Set for his hurdles debut here on his first run for his new yard. Will have to produce more over obstacles.
Showed some promise when he was fourth of 16 runners on his debut at Chepstow (2m) last month after going off at 20/1. Likely to build on that performance here on his second attempt. One to consider.

Midnight Legend gelding whose dam was a maiden over hurdles, although she is a half-sister to Duncliffe who won over hurdles and fences. Interesting newcomer who is worth strong consideration.

Failed to shine in four starts in point-to-points. Made his debut under Rules at Wexford (2m) last time where he finished fifth of eight. Has since switched yards. Will wear a hood for the first time. Others appeal much more.

Struggled in two appearance in bumpers but was much better on his hurdles debut at Leicester (1m7½f) as he finished third of 11 after going off at 100/1. Has an each-way chance.

Forecasts

Bullionaire (4/9), The Garrison (7/1), Nocte Volatus (7/1), Nautical Star (8/1), Durouyn (14/1), Billy Ray (16/1), Machiavelli (25/1), Alfsboy (50/1), Click And Collect (100/1), Rathnure Ranger (100/1), Croftlands Blaze (100/1)

Verdict

BULLIONAIRE sets the standard here as not only is he a bumper winner, he finished third behind Sporting John last time at Exeter and he looks to be a very smart novice. This is a great chance for the six-year-old to pick up his first hurdles success. Nautical Star ran well when he was fourth in a big field at Chepstow on his debut and he can produce more on his second start to put him in contention at the finish, while Nocte Volatus has the profile of a horse who could put in a strong display on his debut on the track so take him to fill the placings.
