Has been successful twice over hurdles. Failed to shine on his chase debut at Carlisle (2m4f) last time out where he was pulled up before the 10th fence in a class 3 contest. This assignment will be easier. One for the shortlist.
Broke her maiden over hurdles at Huntingdon (2m4½f) in April 2018. Has failed to finish in her three attempts over fences so far, including last time out when she fell in a 3m contest at Southwell. Will need to jump better.
Was victorious over hurdles at Warwick (2m5f) back in March. Has been unable to follow that up in two starts since. Set for his first appearance over fences which is likely to suit him. One to consider.
Made his chase debut at Sedgefield (2m½f) on his seasonal reappearance last month where he was fourth of six runners. Was outpaced on his latest start. Up in trip now and cheekpieces are on for the first time. Others are preferred.
Was a winner over hurdles at Market Rasen (2m2½f) back in March on his first run back since having wind surgery. Has been unable to follow that up in two starts since, with his latest outing coming on the Flat. Set for chase debut. Best to watch.
Was successful over fences at the fifth attempt on his latest start over this C&D. The handicapper has raised him 7lb in the weights for that win so he will need to find more here. Can't discount.
Scored over hurdles at Ayr (2m4½f) two starts ago. Has yet to prevail in 16 attempts over fences though. He was not far away last time over this C&D when he was second of six. Remains off the same mark. Big player.
Remains a maiden after nine starts on the track. He did finish second of 10 runners on his latest outing over this C&D. Has gone up just 3lb in the weights for that near miss. One to think about.
Forecasts
Castletown (5/2), Jet Set (4/1), Benny's Secret (5/1), Espoir De Loire (11/2), Court Dreaming (7/1), Izzy's Champion (7/1), Mountain Hawk (12/1), Ice Galley (33/1)
CASTLETOWN was second over this C&D last time out and he can go one place better here as the handicapper has given him a great chance of breaking his maiden over fences as he is off the same mark as his close place finish last time. Court Dreaming was quite smart over hurdles and although he was pulled up on his chase debut, that was in a higher class than this so he is sure to find this challenge easier, while Espoir De Loire looks the type who will benefit for going chasing so expect a big run on his opening start over fences.
- Castletown
- Court Dreaming
- Espoir De Loire
