Has only won once since recording a four-timer in 2015/16 and while he ran well on return in Grade 2 company last season, he's gone backwards subsequently. Showed very little at Ffos Las on his return and others preferred.
Fairly prolific over hurdles generally but tailed off at Cartmel on his final start of last season and he was beaten a long way out at Newbury last month on seasonal reappearance. Probably wants the ground on the quick side to be seen at his best.
Made it four wins from his last five starts on season debut at Kelso in September. Only narrowly denied in follow up bid under a penalty but this is tougher and he's probably at his best on good ground.
Useful on the Flat (landed this year's Chester Plate) but there wasn't much to write home about as far his latest hurdles efforts are concerned in the 2017/18 season. Getting back towards a more competitive mark but others make more appeal.
Blotted his copybook when refusing to race at the Festival last year and didn't get involved in an Aintree Grade 3 in April. Put in a much improved performance when second at Wetherby on return though and he's on a workable mark. Cheekpieces on.
Rattled off a hat-trick prior to disappointing when odds on at Fontwell last time out. May have found that run coming too soon (six days after previous win) but has much more on his plate from revised mark here.
Followed a wide margin maiden hurdle win with a success at Fakenham in February and only found a subsequent winner too good at Uttoxeter in March. Interesting player here if fully fit on his seasonal reappearance.
Paid for a bad mistake at Fakenham in October and again failed to justify favouritism when runner-up in an 11 runner heat at Market Rasen last time out; could be plenty more to come now handicapping though.
