Steer Clear23
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-8| J: Mark Walsh| T: P Roche| OR:  107| BF
6/4
Backed to get off the mark over fences on all of his last three of starts only for the Flemensfirth gelding to 'bump' into a couple. Running well in defeat and sure to go well again.
2
Horse silk
Dontdooddson35
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: Phillip Enright| T: R Tyner| OR:  104| BF| C
6/1
Bounced back after a break to show improved form to win over 2m1f at Sligo and may well have bettered that form when unseating at the last at Tipperary in October. Better than his last effort at this venue suggests.

Thats Mypresentingp14
Age: 11|  Weight: 11-5| J: Donagh Meyler| T: J R Barry| OR:  104
12/1
Could be an improving sort who has outran his chunky odds on his most recent starts at Thurles last month and earlier at this venue over 2m3½f. Capable of bouncing back.
4
Horse silk
Kavanaghs Corner12
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-4| J: Rachael Blackmore| T: H De Bromhead| OR:  103| BF| C
11/2
Won at the second time of asking for the yard when landing a nine runner Clonmel 2m handicap chase on soft ground in October off a 8lb lower mark. Pulled up when getting his legs caught up in the reins on latest start and one for the shortlist.
5
Horse silk
Rock On Aussie69
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-0| J: Simon Torrens(7)| T: J P Dempsey| OR:  99
11/1
Seven -race maiden well held when never a factor in a couple of career starts over the larger obstacles since August, both starts coming at Downpatrick. Appears to have a mountain to climb.
6
Horse silk
Sanibel Islandp16
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-10| J: Liam Quinlan(7)| T: S J Mahon| OR:  95
16/1
Now without a win in 14 starts over the larger obstacles for the Scorpion gelding. Not disgraced at Fairyhouse, finishing fifth of 16, last month but has to be readily opposed again.
7
Horse silk
Trumps Ace26
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-9| J: R P Treacy(5)| T: T Doyle| OR:  94
14/1
Winner of a March point-to-point on soft ground before a mixed bag of efforts over the larger obstacles in maiden and novice chase company. Could go well at a price.
8
Horse silk
Madaboy Cross39
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-8| J: Sean O'Keeffe(5)| T: T P O'Connor| OR:  93
28/1
Has looked a little overwhelmed in a number of starts over fences since August. Pulled up when detached on latest start in a Wexford mares hurdle in October. Needs to improve on even her best form to play a role here.
9
Horse silk
Sliabh Mhuire Lasst18
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-7| J: J J Slevin| T: Mrs G O'Connor| OR:  92
40/1
Consistent performer in a number of point-to-point contests over the year including a win last month. 50/1 and down the field when never a factor in a dire hunter chase effort at Cork on latest start. Plenty to prove.
10
Horse silk
Disco Musik35
Age: 6|  Weight: 9-12| J: Danny Mullins| T: M J McDonagh| OR:  83
8/1
13-race maiden without a win in eight starts over fences. Career best effort at this venue over 2m on soft ground when last seen in October finishing third of nine beaten 4¾L behind Kavanaghs Corner. Needs to back that performance up here.
11
Horse silk
La Regle38
Age: 6|  Weight: 9-10| J: A W Short(3)| T: P J Rothwell| OR:  81
14/1
10-race maiden, yet to hit the frame in a couple of dismal efforts over the larger obstacles in October. Unlikely to be troubling the judge on handicap debut.
12
Horse silk
Olive D'Haguenett18
Age: 7|  Weight: 9-10| J: J M Moore| T: I Madden| OR:  81
25/1
Desperate efforts over fences and hurdles since May. Too many incompletions to be considering the gelding in this contest.

Forecasts

Steer Clear (6/4), Kavanaghs Corner (11/2), Dontdooddson (6/1), Disco Musik (8/1), Rock On Aussie (11/1), Thats Mypresenting (12/1), Trumps Ace (14/1), La Regle (14/1), Sanibel Island (16/1), Olive D'Haguenet (25/1), Madaboy Cross (28/1), Sliabh Mhuire Lass (40/1)

Verdict

The J P McManus-owned STEER CLEAR can gain revenge on Kavanaghs Corner and a 1¼L at this venue over 2m in late October. The six-year-old has since gone on to run well in defeat in a Fairyhouse 2m5f handicap on heavy ground last month and can continue in good form here. Course winner Dontdooddson was the beaten favourite behind the market principles at this venue in October and once again may have to settle for minor honours along with the Michael McDonagh-trained Disco Musik third of nine behind Kavanaghs Corner and Steer Clear last time out.
