Took advantage of a lenient handicap mark to score well at Newcastle last time out; more on his plate here upped in weight but clearly in good heart and should go well.
Has been very consistent of late racing around 6f; just as suited by this trip, his last win came in a claimer here earlier in the year; one to consider.
Wins his fair share of races on the AW but has not won since January; still, back down to a winnable mark so hard to rule out easily; nicely drawn.
Last two wins have come over course and distance and is generally a very consistent gelding; needs to bounce back from running a stinker last time out at this track but holds a fair chance.
Returns after a short break after two below par runs in August/September; capable of running a big race on his day and quietly slipping down the handicap; worth closer inspection.
13-time AW scorer but failed to fire in last five starts; hard to fancy at present despite being on a very attractive mark.
Failed to land a hat-trick last time out over course and distance but still put in a creditable performance; capable of running well but may be vulnerable to better handicapped rivals.
Failed to build on a victory at Newcastle in October but still ran fairly well in defeat; won off a higher mark over course and distance in February and no surprise to see him running well once again.
Six furlong specialist who struggles over shorter and further; maybe worth another go at this trip but likely to find a few too quick for him.
Not the most consistent but has abilty if everything falls right; needs to bounce back from another below par run last time out to get involved.
80-race maiden destined to struggle from so far out of the handicap.
Forecasts
Big Les (3/1), Indian Raj (3/1), Joegogo (4/1), Steelriver (13/2), Tathmeen (7/1), Kodiac Express (12/1), Powerful Dream (16/1), Dynamo Walt (25/1), Cappananty Con (25/1), Aguerooo (33/1), Celerity (100/1)
TATHMEEN has produced two decent performances since winning at Newcastle in October and a repeat of those efforts will see him going very close in a line up not packed with talent. A consistent sort he will certainty have chances in the closing stages should things go to plan. Powerful Dream may have failed to land a hat-trick last time out but still but in an excellent performance and if replicating that effort, he holds every chance. Cappananty Con loves it around here and although he needs to bounce back from a below par effort last time out, should go well if on song.
- Tathmeen
- Powerful Dream
- Cappananty Con
